Oregon: The Oregonian columnist John Canzano writes that the prospect of P.J. Fleck to Eugene is not tracking well at this point. Canzano said Fleck may interview with Oregon on Monday but "the Ducks don't appear to be ready to hire Fleck."
Alabama: Lane Kiffin said Saturday he intends to stay with Alabama through the Tide's Playoff run. "People talk about next year," he told ESPN, "but we have a lot of work to do."
West Virginia: Dana Holgorsen's new deal will pay him $18.6 million over 5 years, according to Brett McMurphy. That's an average of $3.72 million before incentives. Holgo made $2.98 million this year according to the USA Today salary database.
Baylor: Western Kentucky head coach Jeff Brohm will interview at Baylor tomorrow, per Pat Forde.
Georgia Southern: Athletic director Tom Kleinlein has announced that head coach Tyson Summers will return after a 5-7 finish in his first season leading the program. Read more on the decision here.
Texas: Texas has announced details of Tom Herman's contract -- a 5-year deal that starts at $5.25 million in the first year and rises to $6.25 million by Year 5; $25 million of the contract is guaranteed. Herman is also believed to be the first coach in Texas history to owe UT a buyout ($3 million, plus buyouts for his assistants) if he leaves for another job. UT would owe $5 million for each remaining year on the contract if Herman were to be fired without cause.
Georgia Southern: The Statesboro Herald reports that a statement from Georgia Southern on head coach Tyson Summers is expected "soon." The Eagles upset Troy today to close Summers's first season at 5-7.
Oregon: Boise State head coach Bryan Harsin has interviewed for the Oregon opening, per Brett McMurphy. The report adds that South Florida's Willie Taggart has also interviewed with the Ducks.
West Virginia: Dana Holgorsen and the Mountaineers have agreed to a five-year contract extension, per Brett McMurphy. The extension will keep coach Holgo in Morgantown through 2021.
Nebraska: FootballScoop can confirm Arizona cornerbacks coach Donte Williams will join Nebraska's staff.
Dartmouth: Sources tell FootballScoop Buddy Teevens has offered former Illinois head coach Bill Cubit the offensive coordinator position at Dartmouth.
Houston: Sources tell FootballScoop Art Briles is not expected to get an interview with Houston despite the report below from ESPN. Joseph Duarte who covers UH for the Houston Chronicle is now reporting it is unlikely as well. Update> Houston has issued a statement saying that although Art Briles has indicated his interest in the job, he is not on their interview list.
Oregon: Oregonian columnist John Canzano reports Oregon AD Rob Mullens met with Willie Taggart in Texas Thursday night. Canzano notes Taggart was an excellent [and required] starting point; "but this search is ongoing".
Houston: ESPN reports Houston plans to interview Lane Kiffin, Art Briles and Les Miles. The same article mentions Lincoln Riley as a candidate as well; plus Todd Orlando and Major Applewhite.
Baylor: After last night's Pac-12 Championship loss, Colorado head coach Mike MacIntyre told Denver Post columnist Mark Kiszla, "I'm not going to Baylor."
P.J. Fleck: After winning the MAC Championship last night, Fleck had this to say when asked about job rumors: "If you don't live in the moment you're going to be miserable, and I don't want to be miserable tonight." He also hung from a pipe in the locker room after the game.
Wyoming: Last night Wyoming and Craig Bohl announced an extension to keep the coach in Laramie through 2023. Bohl will lead the Cowboys into their first Mountain West title game vs. San Diego State tonight.
June Jones: The former Hawaii and SMU head coach has been announced as the athletics director at powerhouse Saint Louis School in Honolulu.
