Furman: Sources tell FootballScoop Air Force offensive line / associate head coach Clay Hendrix has agreed to become the new head coach at Furman. Hendrix, a Furman alum, previously coached for 19 seasons at Furman (with the last five as associate head coach) before joining the Air Force staff ten seasons ago.
Alabama: Steve Sarkisian has officially been named offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Alabama.
Olivet (D-III - MI): Per source, associate head coach / defensive coordinator Warren Maloney has been named interim head coach following the departure of Dan Pifer to become the head coach at Walsh (D-II - OH).
Indiana State: Mike Sanford Sr. has now officially parted ways with Indiana State. As we reported yesterday, Sanford Sr will join his son's staff at Western Kentucky. Defensive coordinator Brian Cabral has been named interim head coach and ISU has announced a national search is underway.
Georgia State: Source tells FootballScoop former Atlanta Falcon and South Carolina Gamecock Travian Robertson will join the Georgia State staff as a defensive grad assistant.
Wakeyleaks: Louisville AD Tom Jurich has reversed course on Louisville's culpability on the Wakeyleaks scandal and suspended co-offensive coordinator Lonnie Galloway for the Citrus Bowl.
Purdue: Jeff Brohm's contract has formally been approved by Purdue trustees and it includes a fixed annual compensation of $3.3 million. Incentive milestones include team GPA, graduation rate, Big Ten division and conference titles, bowl game participation as well as participation in the college football playoff.
Ole Miss: New offensive coordinator Phil Longo will get a 2-year deal worth $600k the first year, and $700k in year two, and defensive coordinator Wesley McGriff is getting a 3-year deal worth $1 million per, according to Davis Potter. McGriff will remain with Auburn through the Jan. 2 Sugar Bowl.
Notre Dame: Brian Kelly is bringing former Nevada head coach Brian Polian to his staff, sources tell FootballScoop. This will be Polian's second stint in South Bend as he worked as special teams coordinator and linebackers coach on Charlie Weis's staff from 2005-10.
Ole Miss: Safeties coach / special teams coordinator Corey Batoon will be assigned to an off-the-field role to give Wesley McGriff some freedom to build his defensive staff, Hugh Freeze noted today during his presser.
Lindenwood (D-II - MO): All positions have been filled on Jed Stugart's staff at Lindenwood University, and we're told that Stugart brought his entire staff from Sioux Falls (where he coached last season) with him to Lindenwood.
Lincoln (D-II - MO): St. Joe Central HS (MO) head coach Phil Pitts has resigned to become the defensive coordinator on Steven Smith's staff, sources tell FootballScoop.
Harding (D-II - AR): Chris Hill, who led Wynne HS (AR) to an impressive 62-15 record in six seasons, is joining the staff as an offensive assistant.
Georgia State: Buford High (GA) head coach Jess Simpson will be the new defensive line coach at Georgia State source tells FootballScoop.
Indiana: Sources tell FootballScoop Ole Miss receivers coach Grant Heard is leaving the join the staff at Indiana.
Furman (FCS): Pete Thamel of SI, who last night reported Des Kitchings would be the new head coach at Furman, is now reporting that he will not. We have also been told the job remains open and that Des will not be the new head coach.
Ole Miss: The Rebels have now formally announced the additions of Phil Longo as offensive coordinator and Wesley McGriff as defensive coordinator.
Mayville State (NAIA - ND): Sean Thom, who spent this last season as the defensive coordinator at North Forsyth (GA) has been hired as the new head coach.
Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): Sources confirm to FootballScoop that Stephen F Austin has hired Tennessee-Martin (FCS) defensive coordinator Jeff Byrd to be their new defensive coordinator. Byrd spent the past five seasons at UT-Martin.
Delta State (D-II - MS): Per source, Virginia Union (D-II) defensive backs coach Jesse Thompson has been hired to coach the defensive backs at Delta State.
Oklahoma Panhandle State (D-II): Per source, offensive coordinator Lucas Peters has left the program to pursue other opportunities and wide receivers coach Buddy Blevins has been promoted to offensive coordinator
