Louisiana Tech: Louisiana Tech University sports performance is looking for a 2 qualified strength and conditioning interns for Winter and Spring 2015 quarters. The internship will begin January 5th and end May 15th 2015. This is an UNPAID INTERNSHIP, however this is a great opportunity to gain experience as well as knowledge. This opportunity will have an emphasis on Sports Nutrition with our football program but is not relegated to only nutrition. Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise science, physiology, nutrition or related field; working towards CSCS & USAW certifications, must have CPR certification. This is a non-paid position, but offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning in an unbelievable environment. Buffalo: State University of New York Football Strength and Conditioning Staff is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship for the Spring 2015 Semester. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room and facilities. This is an unpaid position, living and transportation arrangements will not be provided. If chosen for this internship opportunity you will gain valuable experience, be educated on training philosophy, Olympic lifting modalities, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program. You will have the opportunity to coach so you must be vocal. Minimum qualifications: Strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should have or be working towards attaining their bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and at least one of the following Certifications or in the process of acquiring these certifications: CSCS, SCCC. Preferred qualifications: Prior experience, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree or enrolled in Bachelor’s or Master’s program, CSCS. Menlo (NAIA - CA): Menlo College Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the SPRING 2015 Athletic Performance Internship Program (3 Positions). Daily Lunch and Menlo Gear will be included. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Team responsibilities will include 3 teams, Football, Men’s Basketball and Men’s Wrestling. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least one of the following Certifications must be in progress: CSCS, SCCC, USAW. Candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, demonstrate effective organization and communication skills and must have a strong willingness to learn and must be a self starter.
