Alabama A&M: Karl Jordan has been named head strength and conditioning coach.

UW-La Crosse (D-III - WI): The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse seeks applications for the full-time position of Director of Sports Performance Center / assistant football coach (defense). The position is being split 60/40. The Director of Sports Performance Center position is a 60%, 12-month contract and will serve as the director of the Sports Performance Center and be one of three strength and conditioning coaches employed by UW-L Athletics. A national strength certification is a required qualification for this position. The assistant football coach position is 40% and a 9-month contract. The individual should possess the skills and experiences necessary to serve as a position coach on the UW-L football coaching staff, on the defensive side of the football. Cumberland (NAIA - TN): Cumberland University Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Fall 2015 semester. Qualifications: Completed or working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field; acceptance into Cumberland University graduate program; current CPR/AED certification; desire to pursue career as a strength and conditioning coach; strong work ethic; punctual. Preferred: Currently possess or working toward CSCS or SCCC certification; previous internship/coaching experience; ability to work with Microsoft Office programs. Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to: Assisting head strength coach with the implementation and supervision of strength and conditioning/sports performance programs; supervision and instruction of training sessions to athletes including all assigned teams; data entry; daily maintenance and upkeep of weightroom facility, and any other duties assigned by the head strength and conditioning coach. Compensation: Full tuition waiver, on-campus housing and meal plan. Whittier (D-III - CA): Whittier College is accepting applications for a full-time Strength & Conditioning Coordinator. This is a 12 month position and responsibilities will include all aspects of strength and conditioning including but not limited to: Supervises weight room, provides expertise, guidance and training in the area of year-round strength and conditioning programs for all student-athletes and sport teams, coordinates with the Head Athletic Trainer and assists with the rehabilitation program for student-athletes, coordinates with all head coaches on the design, implementation and supervision of the strength and conditioning programs for all intercollegiate athletic varsity teams; including the management of web based programs, provides athletes with guidance and proper training techniques for free weights and other strength training equipment; provides expertise in the area of strength (weight) training and physical conditioning as requested by the head coaches, maintains up-to-date records on the strength program of each team and specific individual workouts of student-athletes; and abides by all NCAA compliance regulations concerning the strength and conditioning coach, maintains the athletic weight room for facility cleanliness, keeps maintenance records of all weight room equipment and updates the Assistant Athletic Director on needed equipment upgrades and purchase schedules, must be able to competently interact with culturally and ethnically diverse population of students, faculty and staff. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in physical education, kinesiology, exercise physiology or a related field required, Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of two years strength training experience required with a preference in experience at the collegiate level. CSCS, First Aid and CPR certification required; a strong commitment to the student athlete concept and a working knowledge of NCAA and SCIAC rules and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess experience working with diverse constituencies and sensitivity to multi-cultural issues. Louisiana Tech: The Louisiana Tech University Department of Sport Performance is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for the Summer Semester of 2015. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of the La. Tech University Sport Performance programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; completion of educational curriculum and assignments during the internship. Applicants must have a strong work ethic, very reliable, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, CPR/First Aid certification and previous coaching experience. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, FMS, NASM and/or USAW certifications. Individuals chosen for position are subject to University background checks and standard hiring procedures. This is a Non Paid/Volunteer position. Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants will receive experience working at the Division 1/Conference USA level and will work primarily with our football program.
