Abilene Christian: Abilene Christian University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is a 12 month position with a start date of June 1st. Compensation will include a monthly stipend, free housing as well as 6 credits per semester for Graduate School (to be taken at Hardin Simmons University). Preferred Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology or related field, internship experience in collegiate athletics and must currently have CSCS, or CSCCa or must obtain within 6 months of start date.

Southern Miss: The University of Southern Mississippi is currently accepting applications for graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach. Responsibilities: Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to; aid in the design and implementation of specific strength & conditioning programs for assigned teams; supervise both individual and team workouts; maintain team and individual records; implementation, demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; provide appropriate maintenance and up keep of all equipment and the weight room; motivate both small and large groups of student-athlete. Compensation: Full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend are included. Requirements: Must have a minimum of two years of strength coaching experience at the collegiate and/or professional team level. National Strength & Conditioning Association (NSCA) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCa) certification preferred. Candidates must apply and be accepted to the graduate program, GRE is required. Preferred Qualifications: Competitive athletic experience (Preferably field sports), proficiency with the Olympic movements, high character, effective written and verbal communication skills, a tireless work ethic, positive energy, an attention to detail, a sense of urgency and a servant’s outlook.
