Louisiana-Lafayette poured nearly $30 million into their new 100,000 square-foot student-athlete performance center, and from the looks of the video tour they just released, they got their money's worth.
Before the new facility opened, when Mark Hudspeth wanted to hold a team meeting, players sat on the floor of the locker room, athletic director Scott Farmer told The Advocate. That will no longer be the case as the new facility boasts an impressive team meeting room, complete with matte black walls.

The weight room saw some major upgrades as well, and is now a 12,000 square foot space (nearly three-times as big as their old weight room) with 38 individual workout stations, and 60 yards of dumbbell racks that hold 180 pairs of dumbbells. Immediately upon exiting the weight room, players will come across the new nutrition window where they will have access to post-workout meals.
The new athletic training room has all the necessities and frills that you'd expect in an FBS facility, including a giant cold plunge pool that can fit up to 25 football players at one time.
On the facility as a whole, Farmer told The Advocate back in September, “It’ll help us recruit the best athletes that we can recruit, and help those athletes become the best they can be. This building does both.”
At the 5:20 mark they give a peek at Hud's office, which looks pretty sweet.
