So it should probably come as no surprise that while in Minnesota for the Super Bowl, Fleck took the opportunity to join Barstool president Dave Portnoy in the internet's most wildly popular pizza review. The two taste tested Red Savoy pizza in Minneapolis.
PJ Fleck has made everyone keenly aware of how recruiting is, and always will be, Minnesota's top priority, so this is an interesting way of connecting with that demographic he's recruiting.
When Michigan players took their trip to Europe last season they referenced "one bite everyone knows the rules," in a pizza review of their own (a catch phrase that I admit that I didn't know at the time), and even got Jim Harbaugh in on the action.
Barstool and the pizza reviews happen whenever Portnoy visits a city, so Fleck may be starting something here, and coaches looking to connect with recruits may want to take note and find their own way to connect in a similar way with their core demo.
