Minnesota officially opened the doors to their $166 million Athletes Village project earlier this month, and it looks like something really special.
The new facility not only serves as a new home to Golden Gophers student athletes of all sports, but also houses a brand new nutrition center catered to making sure their "health, well-being, and experience are top notch," as associate AD for health and performance Joi Thomas points out in the video.
The new building is really impressive and has created quite a constant buzz since the school released renderings a few years ago.
PJ Fleck notes that it's much more than just a football facility.
"The first thing that we always talk about when we're talking with student athletes, whether you're here or we're recruiting you, is to provide a world class experience. What the student athlete village does is that it encompasses all of that, and that's what's really special about this."
"This isn't just a football complex...this is a life complex," Fleck explains in the clip.
See more on the project, including input from a number of other coaches impacted and impressed with the new facility, in the video.
