UConn went 2-10 this season, following a 1-11 campaign last year and a 3-9 mark in 2017.
But despite that 6-30 mark over the first three years of Randy Edsall's 2.0 tenure at Connecticut, Huskies AD David Benedict has no plans for a coaching change.
On Sunday, Benedict provided the Associated Press with a vote of confidence. And, as far as votes of confidence go, this is one of the least confident votes of confidence you'll ever see:
"I'm not saying that everyone has to share the same opinion or have the same level of confidence in Coach Edsall that I do, but he has to be given the time to build the program and you can't do it in three years," he said. "Ultimately over the next three years, we'll hopefully see our program become more and more competitive."
Still, Benedict indicates Edsall will not only be at UConn in 2020, but 2021 and '22 as well.
The program reportedly has more than a dozen players in the transfer portal right now, and it's in the process of transferring itself from the American to an FBS independent. And it's clear UConn has no plan to drop another change on top of this season of change.
