Shippensburg (D-II - PA): Shippensburg University is currently seeking qualified volunteer / internship candidates for the fall 2017 semester. The fall strength and conditioning program will run from August 7th (Start date flexible) to December 15th. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for 20 varsity athletic teams, on floor coaching of student athletes, teaching student athletes safe and proper exercise technique, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and professional development throughout the internship. This is an unpaid position however, the volunteers/interns will gain hands on coaching experience in a collegiate setting, education in program design and application, have the potential to earn future recommendations for career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing or have attained relevant certifications: SCCC, CSCS, USAW, FMS, etc. Shippensburg University is a public university located in south-central, Pennsylvania about 40 miles southwest of Harrisburg, and 50 miles northwest of Westminster, Maryland. It is strongly advised that all potential candidates make sure that this internship is economically feasible before applying.
