University School (Hunting Valley, OH): University School, a high school located in Hunting Valley, OH is looking to hire a full-time strength and conditioning coach. The position is complete with benefits, and will also serve as a physical education instructor. The Strength and Conditioning Coach will assume professional responsibility for providing learning experiences in comprehensive health and wellness and supervision of boys in a supportive and positive climate that develops each student’s skills, attitude, and knowledge. Founded in 1890, University School serves 870 boys in Junior Kindergarten to grade 12 on two campuses in suburban Cleveland, Ohio. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s Degree preferred. It is preferred that individuals have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in Strength and Conditioning or a related area. Additionally, candidates must possess one of the two certifications referenced below to be considered for the position: CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) from the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification) or SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) by the CSCCa (Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association Certification. Michigan: Alex Marvez reports that head strength coach Kevin Tolbert will not return. Tolbert has been with Harbaugh at Michigan the past three seasons.
Warner University (NAIA – FL): Warner University has an immediate opening for a Head Strength and Conditioning Coordinator. Candidates must be certified. This role is designed to meet the needs of all athletic teams, with particular emphasis on football programming. Applicants must have a strong Christian faith and work within Warner University’s Christian mission. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the facilitation of the physical and mental development of teams and players, management of the strength and conditioning facility, organization of staff, oversight and management of budget dollars, and development of programs for all sports. Previous collegiate coaching/playing experience required. This position is full time and includes benefits.
