Indiana: The Indiana University Department of Athletic Performance Program is accepting applications for a Part-Time PAID Assistant coaching position beginning in the Winter of 2018. This appointment will last the duration of one (1) full calendar year. The main responsibilities of this position will include: involvement in the supervision of safety during training sessions, assisting with daily administrative, maintenance items, and operations for Football. Qualifications: Completion of Bachelors Degree, prior field experience. Preferred qualifications: Masters Degree in an exercise related field and CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification. Prior collegiate experience. Evidence of project completion, consistent attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment will be highly considered. Incumbent is required to comply fully with all NCAA, Big Ten (or other conference) and Indiana University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Failure to do so may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment. Position will be limited to working 29 hours per week. Selected candidates will undergo a background check prior to employment; compensation is standardized and commensurate with responsibilities and performance. Miami (FL): The University of Miami (FL) Football Nutrition program is looking for hard-working and dedicated individuals eager to gain first-hand experience in the field of Sports Nutrition working with football athletes for the Spring Semester of 2019. Preferably seeking candidates with a background in Exercise Science, Nutrition, or a related field. Daily tasks would include but are not limited to: assisting with preparing pre/post workout fruits, smoothies, and snacks, prepping fueling stations, body composition assessments, data analysis, grocery store tours, cooking classes, player consultation meetings, recommendation guides, and overall nutrition education, reviewing dietary recall logs, monitoring players' weights, research, etc... PLEASE NOTE: These are non- paid volunteer position. Will gain experience as well as future recommendation for employment. Rice: The Rice University Football Strength & Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the 2019 winter and spring off-season. The internship is scheduled to begin Monday, January 14th, 2019 and will run through Friday, April 12th, 2019 with the opportunity to earn a position on staff as one of the five designated strength & conditioning coaches. This is an unpaid position; however, this opportunity offers a valuable professional recommendation for advancement in the field of strength & conditioning. Responsibilities include, but not are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of off-season training for the Rice Football team, set-up and breakdown of daily strength and conditioning training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, data collection, as well as participation in a vigorous internship curriculum. Interns will also have the opportunity to assist in the design and implementation of various Olympic Sports training programs. Prerequisites include CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Pittsburg State: Pittsburg State University strength and conditioning is now accepting applications for 2 full time interns for the Spring of 2019. Qualified candidates will work directly with football as well as various Olympic sport teams as assigned. The positions do not come with monetary pay but DO come with FREE HOUSING. The internship will involve assisting in: the supervision of training sessions, different training methods, nutrition, learning/executing exercise technique, daily maintenance of equipment, and educational research. All applicants must be CPR/AED certified. Must be working toward certification and exhibit a strong desire to be a strength and conditioning coach. Preferred qualifications: CSCS/SCCC, USAW. Princeton: Princeton University Department of Athletics is now accepting applications for SPRING 2019 unpaid internships. Applicants must possess a strong desire to become a collegiate strength & conditioning coach. Princeton University Strength and Conditioning works with all 37 Varsity Sports in which interns will have multiple responsibilities and exposures too. Interns will also have the opportunity to learn in a practicum environment under the supervision of the Princeton University Strength and Conditioning staff. Duties will include, but not be limited to: assisting with the supervision of training programs, completion of a comprehensive internship curriculum, and assisting with daily administrative duties and maintenance of the training facilities. Expected start and end date for the spring is January 14th and will end on May 24th (minimum 300 total hours at 20 hours per week). There will be an opportunity to begin the internship sooner based on availability. Qualifications: Currently pursuing Bachelors/Masters in Exercise Science or related field; a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach; pursuing CSCCA, USAW, or NSCA certification(s).
