Millsaps College (D-III - MS): Millsaps College’s Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 1-2 Strength and Conditioning Intern Coachesfor the Fall Semester of 2018. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. Candidates will have the opportunity to program, implement, and supervise a strength and conditioning program for some assigned sports. HOUSING AND SOME MEALS may be provided. No monetary compensation will be provided. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for an undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. Inquiries must be received by Friday June 29th. Duquesne: Duquesne University Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for 3 volunteer interns to work with football and Olympic sport programs for the Fall 2018 semester. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and fields for conditioning workouts; facility management; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Applicants must be highly self motivated, able to follow directions, desire to learn, and have a strong work ethic. The successful applicants should be working towards earning their Bachelor’s degree and a certification from the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, USAW and/or have experience as a collegiate athlete. Interns must be CPR/AED certified. This is an unpaid position, however, volunteers will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understanding of program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Pace (D-II - NY): The Pace University Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for our Unpaid Internship Program. Start Date will be early August. Preferred skills include: Experience with Power/Olympic lifting movements and best practices; excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Interns will focus on communications while learning every aspect of how a strength and conditioning office operates with football and several nationally ranked varsity teams in the highly competitive Northeast-10 Conference and will leave the program fully prepared for the next step in their career. Salary: This is an unpaid internship. Course/internship credit if the intern is a student and their host institution approves the internship. Gardner-Webb: The Gardner-Webb University Athletic Performance Department is currently accepting applications for the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance. Gardner-Webb University is a private, Christian, Baptist-affiliated university in Boiling Springs, NC home to 22 NCAA Division I Athletics Programs in the Big South Conference. This is a 12-month full time appointment with salary and benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience. The position is subject to a university background check and drug test prior to official hire. The intended start date is summer 2018; however, the review of applications will be ongoing until position is filled. Responsibilities: Assisting in all aspects of the Gardner-Webb Athletic Performance day-to-day operations, primary responsibilities will be to design and implement sport specific training programs for Men’s Basketball and Women’s Basketball with the potential of other team.
