Arkansas Baptist College (JC): Arkansas Baptist has an opening for a entry level strength and conditioning coach for the football department. The right candidate will have full control of the strength program. The right candidate will receive a small stipend, free meals, and free room. Miami: University of Miami Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated people to fill the Summer B 2017 internship positions working Primarily with Football, but will help with some Olympic sports. This internship will start July 17, 2017 thru December 2017. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. The candidate must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and MUST be CPR and First Aid certified. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting staff in the design and implementation of strength programs including set up and breakdown of training equipment; as well as assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility, and ongoing professional development through the internship curriculum. Preferred Qualifications: Strong work ethic, and highly motivated. Experience working in a Strength or Sports Performance environment; currently hold or working towards a nationally- accredited strength and conditioning certification (USAW, SCCC, CSCS, etc.) PLEASE NOTE: These are non-paid volunteer position. Tennessee State (FCS): Tennessee State University is currently accepting applications for one Part Time Assistant Strength and Conditioning Position. The position will be contracted through June 31st with and opportunity for renewal during the following fiscal year. Compensation will be a monthly stipend for $1,200. Duties will include but are not limited to; programming and implementation for teams assigned by the Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning, assisting with the training of football, and weight room organization and upkeep. Candidates must have experience coaching large groups, programming, working alongside sport coaches, a Bachelor's degree preferably in exercise science or a related field, either the CSCS or SCCC certification, and 2 years of experience in the collegiate strength and conditioning field. South Dakota (FCS): The University of South Dakota’s Sports Performance Program is looking for (1) highly motivated individual who is interested in a Graduate Assistantship intended start date July 22 2017. Graduate School and classes will not begin until August 2017 (Must be able to be accepted into a Graduate Program prior to the start date), but the monthly stipend will begin immediately. Minority candidates are encouraged to apply. Qualifications: All applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field. Applicants are required to have their CSCS or SCCC certification. Applicants must be CPR / First Aid certified. The applicants must have prior experience working for a collegiate strength and conditioning program. Must be able to enter graduate program with no provisions. Duties: Assist with Football and run appointed Olympic programs, design and implement training programs, teach and demonstrate lifts/drills, and assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the performance facility. Conducting meetings with sport coaches, consistent assessment of student athlete’s progress.
