Notre Dame: Notre Dame is looking for an assistant strength and conditioning coach for Olympic Sports. Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach for Olympic Sports. Primary job responsibilities will be the design, implementation, and scheduling of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for all disciplines of Men’s Lacrosse and other selected Olympic Sports as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning for Olympic Sports. Must be proficient in Olympic and strength training movements, exercise selection and programming speed mechanics, agility drills and plyometric progressions. Knowledge and understanding of Training Loads through GPS and/or other monitoring technologies is highly encouraged. The ability to communicate and develop a working relationship with sport coaches, athletic trainers and student-athletes is imperative. Lee University: Lee University (DII), located in Cleveland, TN is accepting applications for volunteer intern strength & conditioning coaches. This is an UNPAID POSITION that will last for the duration of the 2018 Spring Semester. Estimated Start date is January 3rd2018 and will conclude May 1st2018. This Internship can be used for course credit if applicable. An educational curriculum will be provided as well as hands-on practical experience working with Lee University’s 16 varsity sports teams. Interested applicants must exhibit effective communication skills, positive attitude, punctuality, and a willingness to work well with others. Responsibilities will be assigned as they are earned and professional reference will be provided for those who demonstrate individual and professional qualities pertaining to the strength and conditioning profession. Preferred qualifications include; currently completing or completed Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field and certified through either CSCCa, NSCA or USAW.
