Independence Community College (KS): Independence Community College is looking to hire a full-time Football Strength and Conditioning coach. Independence Community College is located in Independence, Kansas, roughly 1 hour north of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The position is complete with salary & benefits, and will also serve as a physical education instructor. The Strength and Conditioning Coach will assume professional responsibility for providing learning experiences in comprehensive health and wellness and supervision of boys in a supportive and positive climate that develops each student’s skills, attitude, and knowledge. Indy serves roughly 1,100 students, and offers Men’s Football, Men’s Basketball, Woman’s Basketball, Woman’s softball, Men’s baseball, and Men’s Golf, along with Women’s Volleyball. The coach will also coach a position within the football program as an on the field assistant coach. Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree with a Master’s Degree preferred. It is preferred that individuals have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working in Strength and Conditioning within a major High School or College setting, or a related area. Additionally, candidates must possess one of the two certifications referenced below to be considered for the position: CSCS (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist) from the NSCA (National Strength and Conditioning Association Certification) or SCCC (Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified) by the CSCCa (Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association Certification. The positions begin January 10th. The duties include the set up/break down of lifts, maintenance of the training facility and assisting with the implementation of performance training for D-1 football athletes.
