Washington: The University of Washington Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of volunteer intern for both Spring and Summer 2017 quarters. The Spring quarter internship will begin approximately mid-March and end at the beginning of June. The Summer quarter internship will begin approximately mid-June and end at the end of August. The intern will assist the strength and conditioning coaches in the day-to-day operations of the department and will have the opportunity to work with all of the University of Washington's Men's and Women's Olympic Sports. In addition, they will complete an educational curriculum with assignments and projects. The successful candidate must display a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and a desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. In addition, they must be committed to enhancing themselves and the department through a continued eagerness to learn and develop professionally. Finally, candidates must be working toward or currently certified by the CSCCA or NSCA. This is an unpaid volunteer position working exclusively with the Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Department.
