Arizona State: Western Illinois (FCS) head coach Charlie Fisher is headed to Arizona State per multiple reports (here and here). Fisher, who had just completed his second season at WIU, previously coached at Richmond, Penn State, Miami (OH), Vanderbilt, Temple & more. We have not confirmed the reports.
Tennessee Tech (FCS): Source tells FootballScoop Dewayne Alexander has agreed to become the new head football coach at his alma mater, Tennessee Tech. Alexander, who served as assistant head coach offense under Watson Brown, most recently was coaching offensive line at East Tennessee State. The former Cumberland head coach is expected to be announced as TTU's new head coach tomorrow per source.
Arizona State: As we reported was expected a week or so ago, multiple outlets out West are now reporting Long Beach Poly head coach Antonio Pierce is planning to join Herm Edwards' staff as linebackers coach.
Florida State: Multiple reports tonight say Lawrence Dawsey will not remain at Florida State as receivers coach; however could stay on in some capacity per TomahawkNation.
Fordham: Source tells FootballScoop the Fordham search has shifted from Pete Lembo. Will update....
Nebraska: The total salary pool for Scott Frost's assistant coaches and head strength coach Zach Duval is $4,650,000, according to the Journal Star. Specific assistant coach's salaries are as follows; DC Erik Chinander ($800k), OC Troy Walters ($700k), OL coach Greg Austin ($475k), OLBs coach / STC Jovan Dewitt ($475k), DL coach Mike Dawson ($475k), TEs coach Sean Beckton ($400k), QBs coach Mario Verduzco ($375k) DBs coach Travis Fisher ($300k), RBs coach Ryan Held ($300k), and strength coach Zach Duval ($375k).
Marshall: Offensive coordinator Bill Legg has stepped down the school has confirmed. Legg coached tight ends in addition to serving as OC.
Ottawa RedBlacks (CFL): Winston October has been hired as the team's new wide receivers coach. October previously coached the wide receivers at William & Mary (FCS - VA) as well as the secondary at VMI (FCS - VA).
Tampa Bay Storm (Arena): The organization announced today that they have elected to suspend operations of the Tampa Bay Storm, citing rising league costs and decreased revenue.
New York Giants: The Giants announced they have interviewed Louis Riddick for their general manager position. Although Gary Myers reported Riddick would likely want Josh McDaniels as head coach should Riddick get the job, sources tell FootballScoop Riddick has a handful of candidates he would consider for the job.
Fordham (FCS - NY): With Fordham's process coming to an end, source tells FootballScoop Pete Lembo is a strong candidate.
Seattle Seahawks: The organization has been fined $100k and the coaching and medical staffs are being required to amend their training protocols after the NFL and NFLPA deemed there was a failure in the application of the concussion protocol during their game against the Cardinals back on November 9th, per multiple reports.
Scott Frost: Frost shares his opinion that leaving assistants behind after taking another job "is not the right thing to do" in his eyes.
Missouri Western (D-II): Colorado State-Pueblo quarterbacks coach Dave Brown will be the offensive coordinator at Missouri Western. Prior to these past two seasons at Pueblo, Brown served as offensive coordinator at Fort Lewis College (D-II - CO) and previously spent six seasons at Nevada.
Emporia State (D-II - KS): Emporia State University, located in Emporia, KS is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant working with the defensive backfield, specifically Corners. Compensation includes tuition and a monthly stipend. Housing is not a part of the package. Position includes but is not limited to: working with either the Corners or Safeties, video editing, equipment room, assisting with on-campus recruiting visits, having an out of region recruiting area, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Harvard (FCS - MA): Harvard is currently looking to hire an assistant football coach on offense (offensive line coach / run game coordinator). This position coach will work closely with the head coach and staff, with primary responsibilities being on-field coaching and national recruitment of academically-qualified student athletes. As a full time, 12-month, benefits-eligible role, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, experience coaching at the intercollegiate level, with demonstrated success as a coach, recruiter, and strong interpersonal skills. Tulane: Tulane offensive line coach Alex Atkins has added title of run game coordinator. Atkins was at one point a target of Georgia Southern's offensive coordinator search.
New York Giants: If the Giants wind up hiring Louis Riddick as GM, Gary Myers tweets "it's a given he will want to hire Josh McDaniels as head coach". Myers adds the issue though is whether McDaniels would be willing to leave the Patriots where he might eventually succeed Bill Belichick.
SMU: Sources tells FootballScoop former Oregon State defensive coordinator Gary Andersen is a strong candidate to join the SMU staff.
Arkansas: The buzz within the profession remains unchanged, we continue to hear to look for John Chavis to become Chad Morris' defensive coordinator after the Aggies' bowl game.
Rhode Island (FCS): Rhode Island is looking to hire a full-time video coordinator. Details on the position, and how to apply can be found on DFO Scoop.
James Madison (FCS - VA): The contract that head coach Mike Houston signed last week could increase his total compensation to $700,000 if the Dukes were to get back to the FCS National title game again, per the Pilot Online. If Houston were to leave for a Power 5 program, he would owe JMU $1 million over the next few seasons (that figure drops to $500,000 if he left in 2026), and if he were to leave for an AAC school he'd owe $750,000 and $500,000 if he left for C-USA, Mountain West, MAC, or Sun Belt schools. The report also uncovered a clause in the contract saying that JMU has plans to add an indoor practice facility with an estimated price tag of $1.6 million.
Minnesota: Defensive backs coach Maurice Linguist has added the title of assistant head coach on PJ Fleck's staff.
Kent State: San Jose State offensive coordinator Andrew Sowder is expected to join Sean Lewis' staff at Kent State as offensive coordinator, per a tweet from Bruce Feldman.

UTEP: Mike Canales (OC) and Mike Cox (DC) have formally been announced as Dana Dimel's coordinators at UTEP.
New York Giants: Louis Riddick, who has been an NFL analyst for ESPN since 2013, will interview for the Giants GM job today, per multiple outlets. Before becoming an analyst, Riddick spent over a decade in personnel departments with the Redskins and Eagles.
Chabot College (JC - CA): Chabot College has an immediate opening for Wide Receiver coach. Must have’s for the position include: experience coaching wide receivers at the collegiate or varsity high school level, film breakdown (HUDL), organization of meetings, enthusiasm & confidence. Bachelor’s degree & at least 2 years of coaching experience is required. Preference will go to applicants who have intercollegiate coaching experience at the JC level or to those with successful coaching experience at the local high school level. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population is highly preferred. Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background. This is NOT a full-time position. Pay is a stipend of $5,100. Kent State: Syracuse offensive quality control coach Matt Johnson is joining the staff as a graduate assistant and assistant quarterbacks coach. Also, Steven Schrum - a recruiting quality control assistant - is also joining the staff as the new director of player personnel.
Lyon (NAIA - AR): Lyon College located in Batesville, Arkansas has an immediate opening for a full time position to coach the offensive line. This position carries a salary and benefits. Kurt Warner: Speaking at a Habitat for Humanity event earlier this week, Kurt Warner noted that he's open to an opportunity to join Herm Edwards' staff, adding "I'm not back here begging for a job. I'm not looking to be an offensive coordinator at the college level. I just make myself available, and if anybody can use me as a resource, I'm happy to do that," he shared with ABC 15 in Arizona. Warner has been an analyst with NFL Network the past several years, and also served as the offensive coordinator at Scottsdale Desert Mountain HS (AZ), where his son went to school, for a few seasons.
