Cal: Sources tell FootballScoop Cal has decided to part ways with Sonny Dykes. Bruce Feldman was first to report the news. We are told offensive coordinator Jake Spavital will serve as interim head coach. Read more here.
Coastal Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop Charleston Southern head coach Jamey Chadwell will be the new offensive coordinator at Coastal Carolina for Joe Moglia's program.
Michigan: Jim Harbaugh is telling recruits that Pep Hamilton will be joining the staff, per Max Meyer.
Orange Coast College (JC - CA): Orange Coast College is seeking an offensive and defensive intern for the 2017 season. Orange Coast College is located in southern California, 2 miles from Newport Beach and plays in one of the most competitive divisions in California. These are entry positions with a $500 fall stipend, no meals, housing or benefits. There are opportunities to work a part-time or evening job. These positions are for coaches wanting to build a foundation and experience. Coaches will get gear and team meals during season. This position will assist the head coach with the day to day operations. You will get expierence in football operations, video breakdown, assisting in the OCC football academic program, recruiting, as well as on-field coaching. You must be a self motivated individual with a desire to learn and work hard. Cleveland Browns: The Browns have now officially named Gregg Williams their defensive coordinator. Williams was the defensive coordinator for the Rams organization the past three seasons.
East Los Angeles (JC - CA): ELAC has hired former LA Valley College wide receivers coach Marlon Barnett to the wide receivers and former Mayfair HS (CA) defensive backs coach Pete Moye to coach the defensive backs. Moye coached the defensive backs at ELAC in 2015.
Allegheny (D-III - PA): The open offensive line / recruiting coordinator position has been filled internally by promoting Edward Raby, who has been an assistant with the program the past three seasons.
Moorpark (JC - CA): MC is seeking a part time Offensive Coordinator who is preferably local. Interviews will start next week at Moorpark. The position pay ranges around $8,000 per season. With also possibility of teaching classes. Recruiting is a must and need to be able to commute to campus. Mayville State (NAIA - ND): Mayville State located in Mayville, North Dakota has an immediate opening for an assistant coach restricted earnings position. Compensation includes a $7,000 stipend and no benefits. Position includes, but is not limited to: coaching position on the field and in the meeting room, video editing/coordinating, film sharing, managing a recruiting area, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Ideal candidates have experience in coaching on either side of the ball, knowledge of Hudl and video editing, proficiency in Microsoft excel, word, power point and other computer skills. Minot State (D-II - ND): Per sources, Minot State has narrowed tbe search to 15 of the top candidates, and they will be interviewing these candidates while in Nashville at the AFCA convention Sunday-Wednesday. From there, the best fits will be invited to campus for an on-campus interview as soon as feasibly possible.
South Carolina: Source tells FootballScoop former Youngstown State head coach Eric Wolford is expected to join the South Carolina staff coaching the offensive line. Wolf served as assistant offensive line coach for the 49ers the past two seasons and spent the 2009 season coaching the offensive line at South Carolina.
Kansas City Chiefs: The Chiefs "will try to extend" head coach Andy Reid's contract this off season, Adam Schefter reports.
Buffalo Bills: The Bills plan to give their new head coach more power within the organization, according to Adam Schefter.
