San Francisco 49ers: Fox analyst John Lynch has been hired as the franchise's GM. Lynch, who had an outstanding career as a defensive back in the league for 15 seasons, is a candidate for the Pro Football Hall of Fame class that is being voted on later this week. Adam Schefter adds that Lynch will get an "almost unprecedented" 6-year deal. Schefter adds that the organizations plans on giving Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan a 6-year deal as well in an effort to tie the GM and head coaching positions together.

Indianapolis Colts: Chris Ballard has been named GM of the organization.

Bryant (FCS - RI): Former Ball State defensive coordinator Kevin Kelly has joined the staff as defensive coordinator. Kelly spent last season as the head coach at Wyoming Seminary Prep HS (PA).

Colorado: The Buffs have hired Army corners coach ShaDon Brown as their new corners coach, per The Times-Call. Prior to joining the Army staff last year, Brown coached at Wofford (FCS) for five seasons.

Delaware State (FCS): Per source. running backs coach Vincent White has been promoted to offensive coordinator.

NY Jets: The Jets are planning to hire New Orleans Saints wide receivers coach John Morton as their offensive coordinator, per Adam Schefter.

Maryland: Former Michigan linebacker Desmond Morgan, who spent last season as a graduate assistant at Wayne State (D-II - MI) is joining the Maryland staff. Morgan played one season under DJ Durkin with the Wolverines.

LA Rams: Chris Shula, a former defensive quality control coach with the Chargers, will join the Rams staff, per Alex Marvez.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts are bringing Cheifs director of personnel Chris Ballard back for a second interview for their GM position, per Adam Schefter who adds that Ballard is the first GM candidate to get a second interview.

Wayne State College (D-II - NE): Wayne State College has hired Denny Honnold as defensive backs coach and special teams coordinator, per source.

Texas A&M Kingsville (D-II): Texas A&M Kingsville is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant coach. A Texas resident with DL/LB playing or coaching experience is preferred. Compensation consists of graduate tuition and a meal plan. Housing and stipend are not included. The successful candidate will have his own position group and recruiting area.
