Cal: Former Fresno State head coach Tim DeRuyter will be the new defensive coordinator at Cal reports Ryan Gorcey. More on the hire here.

USF: Source tells FootballScoop Scott Spurrier is leaving South Carolina (offensive analyst) to join the staff at USF. John Whittle has reported the same. We understand Spurrier's role at USF will be similar (offensive analyst).

Cal: Cal has formally announced Marques Tuiasasopo as passing game coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Tuiasasopo spent last year in a similar capacity at UCLA and previously worked with head coach Justin Wilcox at Washington and USC.

Philadelphia Eagles: The Eagles have announced Mike Groh as their wide receivers coach.

Coastal Carolina: Source tells FootballScoop Charleston Southern receivers coach / recruiting coordinator Willy Korn is headed to Coastal Carolina as receivers coach.

Scoop Him Up:Tony Caputo last coached at Simon Fraser University in 2013 as the tight ends/fullbacks coach working along side quarterbacks coach Steve Axman. He also assisted with all aspects of special teams. He also coached for two years alongside Justin Wyatt at Avila University, working with defensive linemen, defensive backs and the punt return team. In 2010, he was a student assistant at University of Central Missouri assisting with the wide receivers, learning Nebraska-Kearney head coach Josh Lamberson and Central Missouri head coach Jim Svoboda. UCM had the best season in history making it to the quarter finals of the playoffs and setting numerous offensive school records. In 2009, he coached a year at the middle school level. In addition to his travels in the coaching ranks, Caputo has also served four years in the United States Air Force. Before coaching in the college ranks he coached high school and middle school for four years. Hamilton Tigercats (CFL): Jeff Reinebold will move from special teams coordinator to defensive coordinator.

Pomona-Pitzer (D-III - CA): The Pomona-Pitzer Football Program located in Claremont, CA is seeking an Assistant Football Coach to assist with the football program and other programs and/or duties as assigned by the Athletic Director and the Head Football Coach. This position serves as offensive coordinator and has recruiting responsibilities for the program. The Assistant Football Coach prepare schemes and game plans for upcoming opponents, scouts opponents, assists with preparation for practices and games, and maintains knowledge of offensive and defensive coaching strategies. Bachelor’s degree is required. A valid driver’s license or equivalent means of reliable transportation to off-site meetings and events is required. Collegiate coaching or playing experience is required. Experience with effective leadership, communication, coaching and recruiting skills is preferred. Stony Brook: Linebackers coach Bobby McIntyre has been promoted to defensive coordinator. McIntyre replaces Lyle Hemphill, who recently accepted a position on defensive staff at Wake Forest.

Citrus College (JC - CA): Reggie Stover has been hired as wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator. Stover coached receivers and returners at LA Valley College the past two seasons.

Snow College (JC - UT): Former Sacramento State (FCS - CA) offensive coordinator Paul Peterson has been named the program's new head coach.

Western State (D-II - CO): Minnesota Crookston (D-II) offensive coordinator Robby Case has accepted the same job at Western State, per source.

Cal: Gerald Alexander is the new secondary coach at Cal. Alexander most recently served as the secondary coach at Montana State (FCS).

North Alabama: Brett Borden has joined the staff as defensive coordinator.

Case Western: Source tells FootballScoop Case Western plans to fill their receivers position from within the staff.

Defiance (D-III - OH): Tate Borlik, a graduate assistant working with the running backs at Minot State (D-II - ND) has been hired to coach the quarterbacks at Defiance. Borlik also worked with the tight ends with the Beaver program.

Indianapolis Colts: The Colts have requested permission to interview Seahawks co-directors of player personnel Trent Kirchner and Scott Fitterer, according to USA Today. Adam Schefter adds the Colts have also requested permission to interview Vikings assistant GM George Paton.

Cleveland Browns: Hue Jackson is leaning toward taking on additional duties instead of replacing quarterbacks coach / associate head coach / offense Pep Hamilton (who joined the Michigan staff), and will promote Greg Seamon from tight ends to quarterbacks coach and shift Mark Hutson from assistant offensive line to tight ends, per Mary Kay Cabot.

South Alabama: Head coach Joey Jones announced on Monday that the contract of assistant coach Mike Adams will not be renewed. Adams has been with the program two season, where he worked with the nickelbacks and safeties during his time on staff.

Greensboro (D-III - NC): Greensboro College is looking for an opponent for week 1 (Sept. 2) or week 4 (Sept. 23) for the 2017 season. Willing to discuss terms for Home and Away games. Please contact Coach Greg Crum at 508-450-9717.

Louisville: Former Western Kentucky assistant Ryan Beard has joined the staff as a quality control assistant.

University of Chicago: Case Western (D-III - OH) receivers coach / passing game coordinator John Pont will be the new offensive coordinator at Chicago source tells FootballScoop.

Purdue: Former Wake Forest corners coach Derrick Johnson has joined the staff, the school has announced.

Washington Redskins: The Redskins have hired Jim Tomsula as defensive line coach reports Adam Schefter. The The Redskins have promoted Matt Cavanaugh to offensive coordinator, the team announced on Monday. Additionally, the Redskins have hired Kevin O'Connell to be the team's next quarterbacks coach. O'Connell was an offensive assistant for the 49ers this past season.

Michigan: With Jim Harbaugh heading into Year 3 in Ann Arbor, his contract calls for an increase of at least 10 percent to his assistant salary pool. AD Warde Manuel confirmed to MLive the pool will go up this year, but did not specify how much to MLive. Offensive coordinator Tim Drevno and defensive coordinator Don Brown have reportedly signed 5-year contracts, with Drevno making $1 million and Brown $1.4 million.

Tennessee Tech: Source tells FootballScoop Morehead State running backs coach Andre Crenshaw is joining the TTU staff coaching running backs and Freddie Walker, offensive analyst at Troy, is joining as receivers coach.

Cabrillo College (JC - CA): Cabrillo College is looking for offensive and defensive quality control interns to work the 2017 football season. The intern positions are unpaid, volunteer positions (with the exceptions of team meals, gear and travel). Interns will assist with a position group on offense/defense, set up field, drills, and run the scout team. Interns will also have to input HUDL, create reports, and have game day assignments, as well as any other assignments as assigned by the head coach. Nassau Community College (JC - NY): Per source, LIU Post (D-II - NY) wide receivers coach Jamel Ramsay has accepted the head coaching job.

Stetson (FCS - FL): Stetson is accepting applications for an assistant coach. Applicants with experience coaching defensive backs is preferred. Special teams experience is also desirable. The position is a 10 month appointment paying approximately $24,000 with benefits. The coach will assist in the development and administration of all defensive/special teams game plans and the materials necessary to execute them. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree required. Previous college coaching and recruiting experience are preferred. As this position requires operation of University vehicles and traveling for recruiting purposes, the possession and maintenance of a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record is required. Lake Erie College (D-II - OH): Lake Erie College is seeking applicants for a defensive graduate assistant coach, preferably with LB playing or coaching experience.
