San Francisco 49ers: The Niners will interview Packers executives Brian Gutekunst and Eliot Wolf, according to multiple outlets.

New Orleans Saints: Sean Payton said Monday night he will honor his contract and coach the Saints in 2017. "My plan is definitely to be back here," Payton told WWL-AM, via Nola.com. "And, shoot, I've got four more years on a contract here, and I plan on honoring that."

Cincinnati: Sources tell FootballScoop Joker Phillips will join Luke Fickell's staff at Cincinnati coaching receivers. The former Kentucky head coach served in a quality control capacity at Ohio State this season after coaching receivers for the Cleveland Browns in 2015.

Los Angeles Rams: The Rams plan to interview Carolina Panthers assistant head coach / defensive backs Steve Wilks reports Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Head coach Dirk Koetter said Monday he's considering giving up play-calling duties in 2017.

Houston Texans: Asked if there was any truth to rumors he could leave the Texans with a loss to the Raiders Saturday, Bill O'Brien said, "I don't even know if that's worthy of an answer."

Lane Kiffin: Kiffin insisted on Paul Finebaum's show his stepping down as Alabama's offensive coordinator was a mutual one. "I was wondering, was I always there?"

Brevard (D-III - NC): Bill Khayat, who has 16 years of coaching experience along with NFL playing experience, has been named the new head coach of the program. Khayat previously served as the run game coordinator / tight ends coach / assistant special teams coach at Tennessee State University (FCS).

Nebraska-Kearney (D-II): Source tells FootballScoop, Kearney has offered their head coaching position to Eastern New Mexico head coach Josh Lynn.

Buffalo Bills: The Bills have requested to speak with Panthers defensive coordinator Sean McDermott, according to Ian Rapoport.

San Diego Chargers: The team has requested permission to interview Patriots defensive coordinator Matt Patricia, Adam Schefter reports.

Podcast: Baylor's Matt Rhule joins Zach in The Press Box portion of The FootballScoop Podcast, and Doug and Grapevine HS (TX) head coach Randy Jackson talk culture.

Kentucky: Quality control assistant Brian Landis has been named head coach at Frederick Douglass HS (KY).

UCLA: Michigan passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch will be UCLA's offensive coordinator according to Bruce Feldman of Fox Sports.

Anderson (D-III - IN):  Anderson University seeks applicants for a defensive graduate assistant. Candidates must be accepted into the Graduate School at Anderson Universityvia this link and maintain a 3.0 GPA. Anderson University offers masters programs in Business, Music Education, Theology, and Nursing. The position is a two year appointment and the university provides tuition, housing, and a 10-month stipend. Responsibilities include: coaching position, recruiting, equipment management, strength coaching, game-day operations, community service, maintaining databases, maintaining HUDL, maintaining social media, and other duties as assigned by head coach. Montana Tech (NAIA): Montana Tech has an immediate opening for two intern coaching positions (one offensive and one defensive). Primary responsibilities include assisting the head coach in all phases of the football program. Other responsibilities include coaching a position. Must be proficient in using Hudl Video Editor, Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with film breakdown and data entry is a must. A monthly stipend will be provided as well as a portion of housing. This is an entry level position. College playing experience and/or previous coaching experience is preferred. Purdue: Jeff Brohm has formally announced the hiring of eight assistants -- Brian Brohm, Tony Levine, Nick Holt, Reggie Johnson, Anthony Poindexter and Dale Williams, plus support staff members Greg Brohm and Robert Sampson. All but Poindexter follow Jeff Brohm from Western Kentucky; Poindexter spent the past three seasons as defensive coordinator and safeties coach at Connecticut.

Southwestern (NAIA - KS): Southwestern College, an NAIA school in Winfield, Kansas has an immediate opening for multiple offensive graduate assistants. Compensation includes dorm, tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Candidates must be able to gain admittance into graduate school. Indianapolis Colts: Chuck Pagano told media today that he has not yet met with owner Jim Irsay, but plans to be back as head coach in 2017, adding that he has "no reason to doubt" that he won't be back.

Indiana: Sources tell FootballScoop offensive coordinator Kevin Johns and tight ends / fullbacks coach James Patton have been let go. The IndyStar has reported the same.

Oregon: Louisville defensive backs coach Keith Heyward will join the Oregon staff sources confirm to FootballScoop. The former Oregon State corner, Heyward has previously coached at Oregon State, Washington and USC prior to joining the Louisville staff for the 2016 season.

Alabama: Alabama has announced Steve Sarkisian will take over offensive coordinator for the Tide effective immediately. Lane Kiffin will not coach next week's title game.

Gary Kubiak: Kubiak has confirmed he has retired from football permanently.

Baylor: Matt Lubick has accepted co-offensive coordinator role at Baylor, sources told FootballScoop. Lubick, at Oregon for the past four years, accepted the wide receivers job at Ole Miss on Dec. 23.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Bucs defensive coordinator Mike Smith, who went 66-46 as the head coach of the Falcons until 2014, will interview for the Jags vacant head coaching job, according to Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Ian Rapoport adds that Arizona Cardinals offensive coordinator Harold Goodwin will interview for the job tomorrow.

LA Rams: The Rams have requested interviews with interim Buffalo head coach Anthony Lynn, and Patriots coordinators Josh McDaniels and Matt Patricia, per Adam Schefter.

San Francisco 49ers: The Niners will begin their coaching search with Josh McDaniels, Tom Cable, Anthony Lynn, Doug Marrone and Vance Joseph, per Matt Maiocco.

Utah: Utah has hired Eastern Washington co-offensive coordinator Troy Taylor as the Utes' new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

North Carolina Wesleyan (D-III โ€“ NC): NC Wesleyan has an opening for defensive coordinator. Position includes but not limited to: Implementing defensive scheme, Practice and Game Planning, Managing the defensive coaches and players. Additional responsibilities in Recruiting and Academic Monitoring as well as any obligation assigned by the Athletic Director. Denver Broncos: Gary Kubiak has officially stepped down as the Broncos' head coach. "As I told our team last night, this is an extremely difficult decision to step down as head coach. I love to work and I love football, but ultimately the demands of the job are no longer a good fit for me," Kubiak said in a statement. Kubiak added, "I'm not sure what my future holds." Notably, nowhere in Kubiak's statement is the word "retiring".

San Francisco 49ers: The Niners have requested permission to interview Chiefs personnel man Chris Ballard, according to Tom Pelissero of USA Today.

LA Rams: Offensive coordinator Sean McVay will interview for the Rams head coaching job this week, per Mike Garafolo. A few others have reported the same.

San Francisco 49ers: Chip Kelly and his assistants, as well as former 49ers coaches that have been fired, will be paid a total of $69 million, Adam Schefter notes.

Jacksonville Jaguars: The Jags will interview Falcons offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan on Friday, per Adam Schefter.

Josh McDaniels: The Rams, Jaguars, and 49ers have reached out and expressed interest in Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. per Albert Breer.

San Francisco 49ers: The Niners have requested to interview Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio for their GM job, according to Adam Schefter.

Sean Payton: The LA Rams are expected to ask permission this week to speak to New Orleans head coach Sean Payton about their head coaching vacancy, per Larry Holder of NOLA.com. Holder adds that GM Mickey Loomis is open to the idea of trading Payton, but it's too early to know what the Saints would ask for in return.

LA Rams: The Rams are requesting permission to interview Jaguars interim head coach Doug Marrone for their head coaching job, per Adam Schefter. Marrone went 25-25 as the head coach at Syracuse before leaving for the Buffalo Bills head coaching job, where he went 15-17 over two seasons.

Presentation (NAIA - SD): Sources tell FootballScoop that Presentation has an opening on staff for a full-time defensive assistant.
