Kent State: Pete Thamel tweets that Sean Lewis is getting a five-year deal worth almost $2.3 million.
Washington State: Washington State has now announced Mike Leach's contract extension, keeping him at Wazzu through the 2022 season. Leach and his coaching salary pool will both get pay bumps. In 2018, Leach will make $3.5 million, followed by $3.75 in 2019 and an even $4 million in 2020. Leach will get a one-time retention bonus of $750k if still employed at Washington State following the 2020 season. The assistant coach salary pool will increase $400,000 for 2018, and the statement announcing the extension also states that "both President Shulz and Leach recognize the need for a new indoor practice facility."
Morgan State (FCS - MD): Morgan State has now officially announced Fred Farrier will not return. Associate head coach Ernest Jones will serve as interim head coach for this upcoming 2018 season. Jones served as defensive coordinator this season. In the official announcement the school says Jones will coach the 2018 season while the University performs a national search for a permanent head coach. Alrighty then...

Cincinnati: Source tells FootballScoop Luke Fickell is planning to add former Kent State head coach Paul Haynes to his staff at Cincinnati. In addition to other responsibilities, Haynes would work with the defensive backs we're told; however we have been told this evening this deal is not done just yet. Sounds as if some other opportunities are on the table as well. Will update....
Robert Morris (FCS - PA): Source tells FootballScoop Albany defensive coordinator Bernard Clark is expected to become the new head coach at Robert Morris. A former NFL linebacker with the Bengals and Seahawks, Clark has served on the Albany staff the past four seasons. He has also coached at Hampton, Colorado State, FIU, Liberty, South Florida and James Madison.

Oregon State: Source tells FootballScoop Hawaii receivers coach Kefense Hynson is planning to join the Oregon State staff. Prior to joining the Hawaii staff for the 2016 season, Hynson coached at Norfolk State, Montana, Yale, Western Washington and more.
FAU: Lane Kiffin and FAU are working on a new contract, described as a "very long-term" deal, according to the Palm Bach Post. Kiffin signed a five-year deal worth $4.5 million last December when he was hired and led FAU to a 10-3 mark and berth in the Boca Bowl against Akron tomorrow night.
Oregon State: Sources tells FootballScoop Hawaii defensive coordinator Legi Suiaunoa is expected to join the Oregon State staff. Suianunoa coached defensive line for Hawaii in 2016 before being promoted to defensive coordinator for this past season. He previously coached defensive line at Montana, Portland State and Eastern Oregon.

Carolina Panthers: The Panthers have announced that owner Jerry Richardson is stepping aside from the day to day control to focus on the sale of the team and that Chief Operating Officer Tina Becker has full control of the day-to-day management of the organization.
New York Giants: The Giants have interviewed Vice President of Player Evaluation Marc Ross for their GM role reports Ian Rapoport. Dave Gettleman is widely expected to interview for the same role. Rap notes he and interim Kevin Abrams will interview this week.

Kent State: Source tells FootballScoop Syracuse co-offensive coordinator Sean Lewis will be Kent State's new head coach. An official announcement is expected later this week.
South Alabama: As expected, Troy offensive coordinator Kenny Edenfield is now at South Alabama as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. Edenfield completes the on-field staff at this point, joining Mike Bangston (OL), Pete Bennett (WRs / recruiting coordinator), Harland Bower (DL), Larry Hart (DEs / OLBs), Chad Huff (TEs), Josh Jones (CBs), Matt Kitchens (safeties / STC), Greg Stewart (DC / ILBs), and Larry Wagner (RBs).
Montana State-Northern (NAIA): After interviewing last Friday, head coach Tony Arntson has opted to stay as head coach at Helena HS (MT), according to MontanaSports.com.
Jackson State: Hal Mumme has formally been announced as offensive coordinator.
Auburn: In his retirement, outgoing athletic director Jay Jacobs will earn more than what 18 FBS head coaches made last year.
Oregon: Defensive line coach Joe Salave'a has told players he'll stay at Oregon, per a report from Aaron J. Fentress.
Montana State-Northern (NAIA): According to the Havre News, Helena HS (MT) head coach Tony Arntson has interviewed for the head coaching job. Arntson has led the Helena HS program for the past 24 seasons and led them to the Class AA state title game four times, including this past season.
Alma (D-III - MI): Per sources, on campus interviews for the Scots new head coach will continue this week and we understand the school hopes to have an offer extended by Christmas.
Bethel (NAIA - KS): Wichita Heights (KS) head coach Terry Harrison has been named head coach. Harrison had led the Wichita Heights program since 2012 and compiled a record of 38-16.
Georgia: Outside linebackers coach Kevin Sherrer will remain with UGA through the college football playoff. Afterwards, he's expected to join Jeremy's Pruitt's staff at Tennessee as the defensive coordinator.
ESPN: John Skipper, President and co-chairman of ESPN, is stepping down. In his announcement he cites substance abuse issues. George Bodenheimer will serve as acting chair of ESPN for the next 90 days to provide interim leadership. More coming...
Missouri Valley (NAIA): Missouri Valley College, located in Marshall, MO is seeking applicants for an undergraduate assistant football coach/equipment room position working with the offensive side of the football. Compensation includes: full tuition remission (no stipend). Position includes but is not limited to: working with an offensive position group (will determine based off the strength of applicants), assisting with aspects of special teams, video editing (HUDL), on-campus recruiting responsibilities, computer skills, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Missouri: Barry Odom shared with the St. Louis Dispatch that he doesn't plan on hiring a new offensive coordinator until after their bowl game (December 27th), adding that he's interviewing candidates every day up until then. The new offensive coordinator will replace Josh Heupel, who left to become the head coach at UCF.
Florida State: Coach Pimp (aka Donte Pimpleton) is headed back south with Willie Taggart reports Aaron Fentress. The Oregon running backs coach played with Taggart at Western Kentucky and has coached with him at Western, South Florida, Oregon...and now will do so at Florida State as well.
Oregon State: Sources tell FootballScoop that Wisconsin outside linebackers coach Tim Tibesar is heading to Oregon State as defensive coordinator. BeaversEdge was among the first to report the move. Tibesar, along with Dave Aranda, won the FootballScoop Linebackers Coach of the Year award following the 2015 season.
Oregon: Defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt is expected to stay in Eugene and not join Willie Taggart's staff at Florida State, according to Bruce Feldman, who adds that Leavitt's new deal with the Ducks is worth an average of $1.7 million per year and goes through 2021.
Seton Hill (D-II - PA): The Seton Hill University Athletic Department has a full-time opening for Assistant Football Coaches. The purpose of this position is to recruit, coach, and retain full roster team. A bachelor’s degree is required, master’s preferred. 3 to 5 years prior defensive line college coaching experience preferred. Strong knowledge of Front 7 is desired and on the road recruiting experience at the college level is required. Excellent computer skills are necessary.
