Rutgers: The NCAA has placed the program on 2-years probation and recruiting restrictions and former head coach Kyle Flood has received a 1-year show. Flood is currently an assistant offensive line coach with the Atlanta Falcons. The NCAA cited Rutgers with a "failure to monitor" the program during a 5-year period where the program's drug testing policy did not follow university and NCAA policy, among other violations in their release.
Big 12: The Big 12 has extended commissioner Bob Bowlsby's contract through the 2024-25 academic year. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Hurricane Irma: Central Florida will host Austin Peay on Oct. 28, making up one of the two games the Knights lost due to Irma.
