Fox planning to attempt to challenge College GameDay (Featured)

Anyone remember a few years back when Fox did something like have a somewhat College GameDay styled show that aired either Thursday or Friday night? Yeah, me too, kind of. That's about the extent of what I recall as well. I think it happened. Not real sure past that part.

Fast forward to today, the New York Post is reporting Fox is planning a new (somewhat) College GameDay styled show that will (presumably) air Saturday mornings. The Post reports the yet-to-be-named show has their on-air personalities lined up to compete against ESPN's flagship pregame staple - College GameDay.

Rob Stone (who describes himself as a "Hambone purist"???) will host the show and be joined by Urban Meyer, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart and Brady Quinn, according to The Post.

The show will be broadcast from Fox's Los Angeles studios; however the Post expects the program to go on the road when it can help lead into a big game on the network.

Robert Smith and Dave Wannstedt, who were working with Fox in their studio show, will move into other roles with the network, the Post adds.

Update> Fox has now confirmed these plans.
