Handley (VA): John Davis has resigned to become the head coach at The Apprentice School.
Comer (AL): Adam Fossett, the former head coach at Smiths Station, Childersburg, and Winterboro, has been approved as the head coach at B.B. Comer High School in Sylacauga, Ala.
Downers Grove North (IL): Joe Horeni has been announced as head coach of his alma mater. He spent the past three seasons at Highland Park (IL).
Schaumburg (IL): Schaumburg High School is looking to fill a stipend assistant coach position on either offense or defense. Flexibility desired. St. Charles Prep (OH): Deke Hocker, the offensive coordinator at Delaware Buckeye Valley, has been hired as head coach at St. Charles Prep in Columbus.
Stow (OH): Per source, former Cincinnati personnel director Tom Phillips is now the head coach at Stow High School.
Veterans (GA): Veterans High School in Kathleen, Ga., is looking to fill the following Coaching positions: Offensive line, Wide Receivers, Defensive Backs. Prairie Cedar Rapids (IA): Prairie HS is a part of the College Community School District and is located Cedar Rapids in southeastern Iowa. We are in the largest classification in the state of Iowa. Been to the State Playoffs the last 3 years and Varsity has been 9-2 and 8-2 over the last 2 seasons. Looking to fill two positions on staff. One is TE / H Back’s as a Varsity position and the other is potentially a Head Sophomore Coaching position with expected knowledge of both sides of the ball. Looking for coaches who are passionate about teaching and coaching and understand the commitment level needed to maintain a successful program. Expectations are to help with the program in various roles as needed by the Head Coach. Anticipated teaching positions that are expected to be open are Elementary P.E. and Junior High P.E. & Health. All candidates must also consider coaching more than one sport as requested by administration. Iowa certification and or the ability to attain state certification are a must. Warren Central (IN): Warren Central is looking for a varsity wide receives coach for the 2018 season. Warren Central is a 6A school (largest classification) with an enrollment of 3,600 and a strong history in football including eight state titles, most recently in 2013. Murrieta (CA): Murrieta Mesa High School is looking for a few experienced and energetic coaches that can enhance our program. We are in need of a varsity DL & DB Coach and any coaches interested in coaching lower levels, but our main priority will be to fill our varsity staff. Teaching positions may come available throughout the year, and sub positions are available now. Being able to coach multiple sports is always recommended. These coaching positions are stipend positions and follow the pay scale of the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. We are members of the very competitive Southwestern League and will be looking on continuing to building on our last season record of 9-4.
