Urban Meyer responds to report of tensions within Jags organization (Jacksonville Jaguars)

Yesterday a report from Tom Pelissero shared that tensions within the Jaguars organization were on the rise and that Urban Meyer may be on thin ice after one rocky season.

One of the more troubling details from that report was Urban criticizing his coaching staff with a message centered around how "he's a winner and his assistant coaches are losers. That was reportedly followed with a challenge from Meyer to each coach individually "to explain when they've ever won and forcing them to defend their resumes."

Earlier today, Urban got a chance to respond to the report on air with Jay Glazer.

Meyer admitted that he's hard on his coaches, and he "gets after them, but Glazer explained to PFT that Meyer did not admit calling his assistants “losers.”

Meyer also shared that he believes he still has the full support of ownership.

Owner Shad Khan has been vocal about his admiration and supportof Meyer since they were able to lure him out of "retirement," and he has given the last two head coaches (Doug Marrone and Gus Bradley) right  four years before deciding to make a move.

However, back in 2012, Khan and the Jags let go Mike Mularkey after just one season. The number of wins Mularkey had in that one season? Just two.

Urban and the Jags are 2-10 heading into the game today with the 8-4 Titans. They have games remaining against the Texans, Jets, Patriots and Colts.
