Colorado: Earlier today Adam Rittenberg shared that Missouri Baptist (NAIA) defensive coordinator Joe Bowden was expected to become the Buffs new linebackers coach, but Rittenberg now tweets tonight that his report was incorrect, interviews for the linebackers job are ongoing and while Bowden has interviewed, no hire has been made.

UTEP: As we initially shared last week, Adam Rittenberg tweets tonight that Bradley Dale Peveto's hire as defensive coordinator has now become official UTEP.

UMass: Savon Huggins, the former Rutgers running back who served as a wide receivers assistant at Buffalo last season, has accepted the running backs job.

Boise State: Jeron Johnson is expected to be the corners coach for Andy Avalos' staff BJ Rains has shared. Update >> The program has announced the hire.

Oklahoma Panhandle State (NAIA): OPSU has a receivers job open. Pays $11,000 plus reduced housing cost. Must have a bachelor's degree. Playing or coaching receivers experience preferred. Looking to hire as soon as possible. Please email head coach Bob Majeski at bob.majeski@opsu.edu

Detroit Lions: The Lions interviewed Ravens quarterbacks coach James Urban today for their offensive coordinator role Tom Pelissero tweets.

UMass: University of Buffalo grad assistant Savon Huggins has accepted the running backs position at UMass.

Marshall: A look at the planned defensive staff at Marshall under Charles Huff.

Wisconsin: Head strength coach Ross Kolodziej has been named the team's new defensive line coach. Kolodziej has spent the past seven seasons as Paul Chryst's head strength coach, one at Pitt and six at Wisconsin. Back in 2012, Kolodziej served as a defensive graduate assistant for the Badgers working with the defensive line.

Tennessee: While the details of athletic director Phillip Fulmer's retirement have not been finalized, an inquiry by Trey Wallace shares that the school anticipates paying Fulmer $37,500 per month through the remainder of his contract - December 31, 2023.

UCF: Back on January 11th we shared that Darrel Wyatt would not return to the staff and Kodi Burns was a strong candidate to fill his role. Today, Pete Thamel tweets and we can confirm Burns is being hired to fill the position.

Houston: We told you about it last night; and now Houston has announced Jay Valai as the Cougs' new corners coach.

Arizona State: Antonio Pierce has been named defensive coordinator / assocaite head coach / recruiting coordinator and Marvin Lewis (who had served as co-DC and interviewed for a few NFL head coaching openings recently) is taking on the role of special assistant to the head coach.

Marshall: Sources tell FootballScoop Charles Huff is making a key hire, with Alabama ties, at strength coach.

Marshall: Tim Cramsey, offensive coordinator, is expected to be retained sources tell FootballScoop. Bruce Feldman just tweeted the same.

Louisville: Per multiple reports, East Carolina running backs coach De'Rail Sims is expected to be the new running backs coach at Louisville.

Marshall: Sources tell FootballScoop UT Martin co-defensive coordinator Dominique Bowman is expected to be part of Charles Huff's defensive staff.

Florida: Indications are Christian Robinson has chosen to remain at Florida over joining Jim Harbaugh's staff at Michigan. Dan Mullen, Todd Grantham and squad continue interviews for their open safeties position sources tell FootballScoop.

Tennessee: Kevin Steele is ready to make two position coach moves sources tell FootballScoop.

Marshall: FAU safeties coach Lance Guidry is the top target to be Charles Huff's defensive coordinator at Marshall. More on that here.

New York Giants: Offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo and the Giants were unable to come to an agreement on a new deal and have parted ways, Dan Duggan tweets.

Washington Football Team: 49ers VP of Player Personnel Martin Mayhew is headed to the WFT Ian Rapoport tweets.

Boise State: Stacy Collins has accepted the special teams coordinator job at Boise. Just a few weeks ago, Collins accepted the head coaching position at the College of the Siskiyous. He served as co-defensive coordinator / defensive backs coach at Utah State this past season, and served as special teams coordinator there in 2019.

SEC defensive line nuggets: Movement, on a couple of fronts. Potential movement on others. Have a look.

Idaho State (FCS): The school has announced a finalized contract extension for head coach Rob Phenicie that extends him through January 20th, 2023 at a salary of $168,875. The contract also includes a number of bonus opportunities that total a maximum of $80,500 in bonus potential. Phenicie took over the program in 2017 after previously serving as the wide receivers coach and he has gone 4-7, 6-5, and 3-9 in his three full seasons at the helm for an overall mark of 13-21.

West Virginia State (D-II): West Virginia State University is accepting resumes for Wide Receiver Coach. Responsibilities include coaching a position group, recruiting an assigned area, assisting with all video editing, strength and conditioning, and equipment responsibilities. This is a Restricted Earnings Position that includes a stipend and housing with a possibility of graduate school classes. Alabama: Former Kentucky offensive coordinator Eddie Gran is another possible addition to the Alabama staff Cole Cubelic tweets.

South Alabama: Former FAU and Southern Miss defensive coordinator Tony Pecoraro is joining Kane Wommack's staff as a defensive analyst Adam Rittenberg tweets.

Carolina Panthers: Sean Ryan, who most recently coached the quarterbacks for the Lions, is expected to join Matt Rhule's staff as quarterbacks coach, Jeremy Fowler tweets.

Pitt: The University of Pittsburgh is looking for TWO on-field graduate assistant coaches (OL / DL / Skill). Candidates need to be academically qualified and within 7 years of receiving their bachelor’s degree. Previous on-field coaching experience is required. Morehead State (FCS - KY): Morehead State University is accepting applications for a part-time RB Coach. Position includes coaching, recruiting, and administrative duties assigned by the HFC. Detroit Lions: The organization has formally announced the hire of Dan Campbell as their new head coach, leaving just two NFL jobs currently open.

Houston Baptist (FCS): Drake Smithton, who spent the last two seasons in a quality control role at Oklahoma State, has been hired as quarterbacks coach, per sources.

Baylor: BYU offensive grad assistant Matt Mitchell has accepted an offensive quality control job at Baylor source tells FootballScoop.

Football Guy U: Miami (OH) is home to the Cradle of Coaches. Rutgers is the birthplace of college football. The time has come to crown and recognize a Football Guy U, and here is the perfect school.

Detroit Lions: New head coach Dan Campbell has a six-year deal with the organization, per multiple reports.

Alabama: Doug Marrone will be the new offensive line coach for Nick Saban, Matt Zenitz tweets. More on the planned hire here.

Colorado: Adam Rittenberg tweets that Joe Bowden, who has been serving as the defensive coordinator at Missouri Baptist (NAIA) and is a former NFL linebacker with coaching experience with the Rams and the 49ers, is expected to join the Colorado staff.

South Florida: Clemson analyst Cam Aiken is headed to work with Jeff Scott again, this time as South Florida's running backs coach Bruce Feldman tweets.

Philip Rivers: In May Philip Rivers accepted the head coach in waiting role at St. Michael Catholic High School in Fairhope, Alabama. Today, Rivers announced his retirement from the NFL, he's Coach Rivers now.

South Carolina: Sources tell FootballScoop a top candidate has emerged for South Carolina's offensive line job.

Doug Pederson: The former Eagles head coach is inclined to take a year off, according to Jeff McClane.

Christopher Newport (D-III - VA): Christopher Newport University seeks applicants for the position of assistant football coach for offense/Running Backs. Preferred candidates will have prior experience playing/coaching on the offensive side of the ball, preferably running back, with at least 1 year of collegiate coaching experience. Candidates will be responsible for coaching a position group, recruiting, film editing/breakdown (HUDL), and all other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Stipend and contract length to be negotiated with the Head Coach. Preferable start date is February 1st, but is flexible. Philadelphia Eagles: The team will interview Saints defensive coordinator Dennis Allen for their head coaching vacancy today, per Ian Rapoport. The team spoke with Cowboys offensive coordinator Kellen Moore yesterday.

Houston: A former Texas assistant is planning to join the staff, sources tell FootballScoop. Details here.

USC: Clay Helton and Graham Harrell plan to hire Clay McGuire as their new offensive line coach per multiple reports. McGuire, who currently is offensive line coach at Texas State, previously coached at Washington State, East Carolina and Texas Tech.

Marshall: Sources tell FootballScoop Charles Huff is making a number of changes at Marshall.

Oklahoma Panhandle State (NAIA): Augustana (D-II - SD) defensive graduate assistant Tevin Lakes is joining the staff as defensive backs coach.

Los Angeles Chargers: Brandon Staley is targeting a current MAC head coach for his Chargers staff, per report.

Northwestern: Pat Fitzgerald is tapping a veteran NFL assistant with coordinating experience in the league to fill his defensive coordinator opening, per report. We can confirm the hire.
