Please join us in praying for former Alabama player and coach Ray Perkins, who has passed just days after his 79th birthday. Coach Perkins had a number of head coaching stops including Alabama, and Arkansas State as well as with the New York Giants and Tampa Bay Bucs.

Phil Albert, the longtime Towson (FCS - MD) head coach who led the program from 1972-1991, has passed. Please join us in praying for his family. Coach Albert won 117 games at a Towson.

LSU: In an act of self defense, LSU threw the white flag today.

SMU: Running backs coach/recruiting coordinator Ra'Shaad Samples has signed a 3-year contract extension. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Big Ten: Despite playing in just five games, Ohio State is going to the Big Ten Championship.

Vanderbilt: Dennis Dodd tweets that Jonathan Hayes has interviewed at Vanderbilt. Hayes most recently served as the head coach of the St. Louis BattleHawks (XFL) and is a longtime NFL assistant with the Bengals.

Kansas: An interesting offensive line coaching scenario has emerged at Kansas.

Marietta (D-III - OH): Marietta College is seeking applications for a full-time coaching position (defensive backs). Playing or coaching experience at the collegiate level is required. Minimum 2 years collegiate coaching/recruiting experience is preferred. Strong consideration will be given to candidates with ties to the Midwest. Responsibilities will include: on field coaching, practice and game preparation, on road recruiting, academic support, and other duties as assigned by Head Football coach and Athletic Director. Syracuse: Athletic director John Wildhack shares that Dino Babers "is not on the hot seat" after a 1-10 season in 2020, Nate Mink tweets.

Big Ten: A vote is expected today by the Big Ten to remove the 6-game minimum for eligibility to play in the Big Ten Championship, and Pete Thamel adds that the vote is considered a formality "which will lead to Ohio State playing Northwestern in Big Ten Title game."

Southwest Mississippi (JC): Southwest has themselves a new head coach.

Washington: The Huskies have paused all-team activities due to an increase in positive cases. Washington is scheduled to take on Oregon this weekend.

Pearl River CC (JC - MS): Former Ole Miss quarterback Bo Wallace has been introduced as the program's new co-offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. Wallace spent last season in the same capacity at Coahoma CC (JC - MS).

Atlanta Falcons: According to the AJC, the Falcons are interviewing the following candidates for their GM position: Terry Fontenot (Saints vice president/assistant general manager-pro personnel), Rick Smith, (former Houston Texans general manager) and Brad Holmes (Rams director of college scouting).

Capital (D-III - MI): Sources tell FootballScoop that Brian Foos has accepted the head coaching job. Read more on the hire here.

Matt Campbell: The Iowa State head coach reportedly has his eyes on a few jobs in particular.

Jackson State (FCS – MS): At long last, Deion Sanders has announced his initial coaching staff at Jackson State. It’s an interesting mix of NFL, Mississippi and high school guys, most of them with a connection to Coach Prime.
