UAB: Rip Scherer, who most recently served in an analyst / consultant role for Jim Mora at UConn, is now at UAB as senior assistant and senior advisor for Trent Dilfer. Scherer has spent almost 50 years on the sidelines and also recently spent time as a senior offensive assistant for the Chargers and also was a volunteer assistant at Arkansas State for a season as well.

Amazon: Most attempts to use AI in the real world, right now, are garbage. But Amazon's plan could make its Thursday Night Football broadcasts more interesting -- if they implement it right.

Houston Christian (FCS - TX): Per source, former East Tennessee State (FCS) defensive backs coach Chris Grimes has accepted a position as the Senior Advisor to the head coach at Houston Christian to be closer to family.

Michigan: A week after the NCAA rejected a 4-game suspension for Jim Harbaugh, Michigan has now reportedly opted to self-impose a less stringent penalty.
