Montana Western (NAIA): The University of Montana Western has an immediate opening for a restricted earnings defensive coach. Defensive line experience preferred. Responsibilities will include coaching a position group, managing a recruiting area, special teams assignments, strength and conditioning assignments and other duties assigned by the head coach. Indianapolis Colts: Joe Hastings has been elevated from special teams assistant to senior assistant special teams coach and (as we previously shared) Brent Stockstill has now been announced as a defensive assistant. Also, Kentucky defensive graduate assistant Kalon Humphries and Texas Tech quality control coach Diego Ortiz have joined the staff as Tony Dungy Diversity Coaching Fellows.

South Dakota Mines (D-II): Ryan Freeman has accepted the offensive coordinator job and will also coach the team's receivers. Before spending the last few seasons in support staff roles at Marshall and Memphis, Freeman coached the receivers at Rocky Mountain College (NAIA - MT) for a season and was previously one of the youngest offensive coordinators in college football at Kentucky Christian (NAIA). Freeman takes the place of Ryan Gent, who was recently announced as a new hire at Northwest Missouri State (D-II).

Tennessee Tech (FCS): Stephen Pribble, the former offensive coordinator with stops at Bloombsurg (D-II - PA), Alfred (D-III - NY) and Lock Haven (D-II - PA), has joined the staff as assistant receivers coach.

Ohio: Ohio University Bobcats are seeking candidates for a Recruiting Intern position. This position assists the football staff in the evaluation, planning, organization and overall execution of any and all tasks in relation to the recruitment of prospective student athletes. Duties include assist with organization and up-keep of recruiting boards; assist with evaluation of recruiting film; assist with organization and execution of recruiting visits; and assist with other recruiting and operation duties as assigned. Michigan: Assistant director for player personnel Denard Robinson was arrested for OWI following a single-car crash around 3 a.m. Monday morning. Charges are pending a toxicology report.

Transfer Portal: One state is exploring bringing the transfer portal to high school athletics.

Roanoke (D-III - VA): Roanoke College is currently accepting applications for the position of Offensive Assistant Coach for the 2024 season, the position will start in July of 2024. Responsibilities will include coaching a position group, film breakdown, practice organization, recruiting area, student athlete development, data input, and other duties assigned by the Head Football Coach. Candidates with college coaching experience and familiarity with Hudl, Go Army Edge, Vizio, Pro Quick Draw are preferred. This is a full-time position with benefits. North Carolina: Mack Brown and the Tar Heels are adding former FCS special teams coordinator Nick Newsome to the staff, sources tell FootballScoop.
