Which is why defensive line coach Holden Whitehead implements what he calls a “Cage” rush concept from four-down, five-down and six-down fronts. All pass rushers are given a low cage or high cage responsibility when rushing the quarterback. In an exclusive clinic report with X&O Labs, Coach Whitehead details the coaching points, both in stagnant and pressure fronts, that produced 27 sacks this past season. Get this exclusive report from X&O Labs sent directly to your email Tuesday morning. Go here to enter your email.
