Stephen F. Austin (FCS - TX): Marcus Walker has joined the staff as corners coach, a source confirmed to FootballScoop. The news was first reported by David Smoak. Walker is a former Oklahoma defensive back who went on to play with the Vikings and Panthers. He spent last season on the McNeese (FCS - LA) staff has prior stops on the staff at Henderson State (D-II - AR) and as a graduate assistant on the Sooners staff.
Holmes CC (JC - MS): Holmes Community College is Looking for two volunteer coaches. The starting date for each opportunity will begin July 1, 2020. The position includes housing and meals. The volunteer positions needed are: wide receivers, and defensive backs. Georgia Tech: Georgia Tech's football team will be among nine Yellow Jacket teams to cancel all mandatory team activity on Election Day -- Tuesday, Nov. 3. More here.
Holmes CC (JC - MS): Holmes has announced a number of new hires and a promotion. Associate head coach / defensive backs coach Le'Marcus Gibson has been promoted to defensive coordinator, Mississippi College (D-II) offensive line coach Jacob "Cob" Summers has been announced as offensive coordinator, OPSU (NAIA - OK) linebackers coach / special teams coordinator Dylan Swarers has joined the staff in the same capacity, and Montra Edwards has joined the program as associate head coach / defensive line coach after previously serving as a coach at Holmes County Central HS (MS).
Michigan State: Michigan State will resume voluntary workouts on June 15.
Iowa: Could we see an entire college football program kneel for the national anthem this fall?
Florida State: Seminoles players have threatened a boycott after a Mike Norvell statement.
Webber International (NAIA - FL): Webber International University in Babson Park, FL is currently hiring a QB Coach and Corners Coach. Each position pays 17K and comes with full benefits but no housing and no meals. Wesley (D-III - DE): After nearly 50 years in the coaching business, longtime coach Joe Bottiglieri will retire this month. Coach Bott spent most of his 49 seasons in coaching at the FCS level at Lafayette, William & Mary, Rhode Island, and Lehigh and also had stops at Division II programs Shippensburg and Mansfield. He also served as the head coach at Allentown Central Catholic (PA) and Emmaus HS (PA) and spent the past two seasons as the defensive coordinator at Wesley College.
Louisiana College (D-III - LA): Louisiana College is seeking a stipend coach at the Corners position with a dorm room available. Job Responsibilities include running a position room, recruiting an area, film breakdown, all practice setup and breakdown, overseeing academics of position group and all other responsibilities assigned by Head Football Coach or Athletic Director. Candidate must adhere to the Louisiana College personal conduct policy. A Bachelor’s degree and successful completion of a background check is required.
