Ball Today: The Sugar Bowl, originally scheduled for yesterday before the terrorist attack in New Orleans, will take place today at 4pm EST against Georgia and Notre Dame on ESPN. Also, Duke takes on Ole Miss in the Gator Bowl at 8pm EST on ESPN.

Tulane: Tulane is expected to hire former Southern Miss head coach Will Hall as passing game coordinator, ESPN reports.
Missouri Valley (NAIA): Former All-American LaQuentin Black is returning to his alma mater as head coach. He previously coached the safeties at Northern Iowa, and also has stops at Hutchinson CC (JC - KS), Troy, and Central Methodist.
Valparaiso (FCS - IN): Valparaiso University located in Northwest Indiana has an entry-level full-time position open. There is flexibility inside the staff for this position. We are looking to hire the best DB, RB, or TE coach based on staff fit. Minimum two years of coaching/recruiting experience. Applicants from the region are encouraged to apply. Gardner Webb (FCS): Gardner Webb University is looking for and Offense, Defense and Special Teams volunteer assistants. These are strictly VOLUNTEER positions; there is NO compensation or housing. These positions will include but limited to on the field coaching, breakdown of opponent film (DVSport), scouting reports, practice organization, day to day operations with recruiting, and all other responsibilities delegated to them from the Head Coach and Coordinators. This an entry level position to gain valuable experience with a Division 1 FCS Program and grow your network of coaches within the profession. Arkansas State: Nate Dreiling, who spent this past fall as the interim head coach at Utah State, is reportedly set to become the new defensive coordinator for Butch Jones.

Franklin Pierce (D-II - NH): Franklin Pierce University is looking for a week one opponent (Thursday, Sept. 4 – Saturday, Sept. 6). Will consider any opportunity but preferably looking for home and home for 25-26 with a DII opponent (travel distance will be taken into heavy consideration) or an FCS opponent that offers a game guarantee. Chicago Bears: Washington Commanders offensvie coordinator Kliff Kingsbury, who spent a season at USC with Bears rookie quarterback Caleb Williams two years ago, is expected to interview for the Bears head coaching opening, per Jeremy Fowler.
Sacramento State (FCS - CA): Bobby Fresques, who served as associate head coach and offensive coordinator on the previous staff, will serve as lead analyst / director of alumni relations moving forward.
UMass: Nyeem-Wartman White, a former Penn State player who previously coached the defensive line at Akron, has accepted the defensive line job.
Virginia Tech: Brent Pry plans to ask Bud Foster to remain on staff going forward in some capacity.
Jacksonville State: University of Washing safeties coach Vinnie Sunseri will be Charles Kelly's defensive coordinator at Jax State.
New Mexico State: Athletic director Mario Moccia has been relieved of his duties, per multiple reports.
Illinois Wesleyan (D-III): Sources tell FootballScoop a Division II head coach who built a program from the ground up over the past decade is leaving to become the new head coach of the Titans.
South Carolina State (FCS): Scott Eisberg shares that athletic director Nathan Cochran is out after one year in the post and legendary football coach Buddy Pough is stepping in as interim athletic director.
Geneva (D-III - PA): Geneva College is looking for 2 Graduate Assistants for those wanting to earn a degree in Master’s of Higher Education and coach a position group . Kliff Kingsbury: The former Texas Tech and Arizona Cardinals head coach, now the offensive coordinator for the Washington Commanders where he as done an impressive job with rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels, shared today that while he would like to be a head coach again someday, he is "very happy" with the Commanders.
Lindsey Wilson (NAIA - KY): Lindsey Wilson College is accepting applications for an Offensive Graduate Assistant most likely coaching our Running Backs or Wide Receivers. Compensation includes a full graduate tuition waiver, a monthly stipend, off campus housing and a meal plan. The ideal candidate would be able to start ASAP and have collegiate playing or coaching experience. Idaho (FCS): Treston Decoud, who enjoyed a seven year career spanning stops in the NFL, XFL, CFL and USFL before beginning his coaching career, has joined the staff as corners coach. He spent last season assisting with the corners at Oregon State.
North Dakota (FCS): The program has announced the additions of Wyoming's Gordie Haug (TEs / assistant HC), Fresno State's Ben Watkins (LBs), Washington's Keaton Wilkerson (safeties), and San Diego State's Tyson Maeva (DTs).

Lyon College (D-III - AR): Lyon College would like to invite applicants for a restricted earnings position coach. We are looking for best for DB/LB/DL coaching position. Salary: $15,000 over 12 months, housing and meals, with health and retirement benefits. Duties will include coaching, recruiting, equipment, video and strength. The ideal candidate will have previous playing and 1-2+ years coaching experience with a desire to obtain a full-time college football coaching position.
