Ball Tonight: One game tonight, followed by three tomorrow - one of which is the first game of the College Football Playoff. Tonight we get Georgia Southern against Sam Houston in the R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (7pm EST on ESPN2).

Appalachian State: Dowell Loggains has formally announced the hire of Riley Watkins as an offensive assistant. He's logged previous stops in the SEC at Arkansas, Missouri, and South Carolina.

UCLA: Oklahoma defensive analyst and assistant player personnel director Gabe Lynn has accepted the safeties job.

Bemidji State (D-II - MN): Former special teams coordinator Jordan Hein is returning as the offensive coordinator job with the school after a season at Northern State (D-II - SD) as their offensive coordinator.

Northern Iowa (FCS): Logan Meyer, who joined the staff back in July as director of football operations has been elevated to a GM role for the Panthers.

Idaho (FCS): Wide receivers coach and recruiting coordinator Matt Linehan has been elevated to offensive coordinator and will now coach the quarterbacks. Also, head coach Thomas Ford teased a "home run hire" for his defensive coordinator spot on the Vandal Insider podcast earlier today.

West Virginia: Rich Rod is making sweeping changes to the Mountaineers staff.

UAB: UAB is hiring one of the top defensive coordinators in FCS to its staff, sources tell FootballScoop.

ULM: Sources tell FootballScoop that Bryant Vincent, who had been a candidate for the opening at Jacksonville State, has elected to stay at ULM. 

New York Jets: The team has completed an interview with Jim Nagy for their GM post. Nagy has served as the executive director of Reese's Senior Bowl since 2018.

Purdue: Sources tell FootballScoop that Barry Odom now has his defensive coordinator.

FIU: Willie Simmons is adding a pair of Miami staffers, sources tell FootballScoop.

UCLA: We shared last week that Arkansas State offensive line coach Andy Kwon would be joining the Bruins staff, and DeShaun Foster and the program formally announced his addition today.

Otterbein (D-III - OH): Valparaiso (FCS - IN) defensive coordinator Dave Marquis has accepted the head coaching job with the Cardinals.

Weber State (FCS - UT): Justin Mullgrav is the new defensive tackles coach for the program. He joins the staff after previously serving as a defensive analyst at Utah.

Tulsa: Mason Behiel, the assistant AD for football at Fresno State, is joining the staff as GM, Pete Thamel shares. Behiel previously worked in personnel on the Ole Miss staff for a few seasons.

Purdue: Darin Hinshaw who served as Gus Malzahn's offensive coordinator at UCF is joining Barry Odom's staff as quarterbacks coach. 

Southern Miss: Charles Huff continues to fill out his inaugural Southern Miss staff with some strong additions including Jason Semore, Jonathan Galante, and Sherrod Everett.

Worcester State (D-III - MA): Lazaro Mitjans Jr. has been announced as the new head coach. Mitjans previously coached the running backs at Harvard (FCS - MA). He takes over for Zach Besaw, who led the Lancers to a 3-7 record as interim head coach for the 2024 season.

Campbell (FCS - NC): Campbell Football is currently accepting applications for a Creative Content Graduate Assistant. Candidate must be admitted to a Campbell University Graduate Program, begin in January 2025, be highly motivated with a strong work ethic, and have an interest in gaining direct work experience at the Division I FCS Level and in the CAA Conference. Responsibilities include but are not limited to creating compelling on-brand content highlighting the Campbell Football program, efficiently produce recruiting material compliant with NCAA guidelines, desire to be current with social media trends, and other duties as assigned. Candidates must have a strong background using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and photography. Graduate tuition and books will be covered. Purdue: Offensive analyst Jason Simmons, the former high school head coach who took over as interim offensive coordinator partway through the season, is being retained as director of high school relations, per Tom Dienhart.

Coffeyville CC (JC - KS): Coffeyville Community College has an entry-level TE coaching position available. This is a position that includes Housing, Meals, and Health insurance. Pay will be made through working in Dorms as an RA. Hudl and Microsoft Office experience preferred. Bachelors Required. Must be able to clear a Background Check and Have a Valid Driver's License. Anna Maria (D-III - MA): Per source, Mike Blackstone has resigned his post coaching the defensive backs.

Rice: Kerry Cooks is expected to be named safeties coach, per CBS Sports. Cooks spent last season as a defensive assistant on staff and previously coached the safeties at LSU for a season and spent two seasons at Notre Dame with Brian Kelly as a defensive analyst.

Tennessee Titans: A fired up Brian Callahan dares reporters to enter his team locker room and call them "soft" to their faces

Southeastern Oklahoma State (D-II): The program has announced the additions of Rich McGuire and Shane Fletcher. McGuire will be the team's new offensive coordinator after eight seasons at St. Thomas Catholic (Houston, TX), where he just led the team to the Division I state semifinals and compiled a 62-31 record overall. Fletcher spent the past three seasons at Honey Grove HS (OK), where he went 31-7 including a state semifinal run as well this past season.

Eligibility Lawsuit: Diego Pavia may have brought another major change for college athletics.

Oklahoma: New offensive coordinator Ben Arbuckle will coach the Sooner quarterbacks in the Armed Forces Bowl, but will not call plays due to Kevin Johns departing the staff to join Mike Gundy at Oklahoma State, Brent Venables shares.

Adams State (D-II - CO): As we shared earlier this week, Levi Gallas has now been officially announced as the new had coach at Adams State. He joins the staff from West Texas A&M, where he was the defensive coordiantor.

FIU: CBS Sports shares that FIU is targeting Murray State (FCS - KY) defensive coordinator Ryan Smith for their linebackers job.

Idaho: Former assistant Thomas Ford, who spent last season at Oregon State, is returning as the head Vandal.

Gilman Gear: Gilman Gear, the nation’s leading manufacturer of football practice equipment is looking for a Midwest sales rep to cover Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. Ivy League (FCS): After 80 years doing it their own way, the Ivy League will finally get a spot in the FCS playoffs.

Assumption (D-II - MA): Assumption University (D2), located in Worcester, MA, has an immediate opening for an Offensive Line/ Offensive Coordinator. Responsibilities include recruiting assigned area and other duties assigned by head coach. Minimumrequirements include bachelor’s degree and 3 years college coaching experience.
