Very sad to pass along news that Kirby Smart's father, Sonny has died. Sonny fell while walking in New Orleans on New Year's Eve. He had surgery to fix his broken hip; but complications arose and God decided now was his time. Sonny was a great man and excellent football coach. Please join us in praying for the Smart family during this emotional time.

Miami Dolphins: The team has announced that both Chris Grier and Mike McDaniel will return.

Indianapolis Colts: Owner Jim Irsay shares that both GM Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen will return in 2025.

Miami Dolphins: After finishing the year 8-9, Mike McDaniel said at his postgame presser today that his "full expectation" is that both he and GM Chris Grier will return next season.

Washington State: The Coogs have hired Taylor Lucas and Mike Iupati as the new offensive line coaches. Iupati played 11 seasons in the NFL after being a first-round pick out of Idaho and this marks his first full-time coaching post while Lucas comes from South Dakota State (FCS) where he was the assistant offensive line coach last fall.

New York Giants: Jordan Schultz shares that the Giants are not expected to make any final decision on GM Joe Schoen or head coach Brian Daboll immediately and that ownership plans to meet with both to understand their vision for the future and will make separate decisions on each.

New England Patriots: The Patriots have fired head coach Jerod Mayo after one season. New England finished the year 4-13 after beating the Bills today.

Duke: Northwestern running backs coach Chris Foster has accepted the same role at Duke multiple outlets are reporting. 

West Georgia (FCS): Sources tell FootballScoop Woody Blevins has accepted the defensive coordinator position at West Georgia. Blevins has served as the defensive coordinator at Assumption University (D-II - MA) the past 5 seasons. 

Georgia State: CJ Wilford is expected to join Dell McGee's staff working with the safeties CBS Sports is reporting. Wilford currently serves as an analyst at Florida. 

Minnesota Vikings: Kevin O'Connell will head into contract negotiations this winter with leverage rarely seen at the NFL level.

Cleveland Browns: Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey and offensive line coach Andy Dickerson have been relieved of their duties, per multiple reports.

Clemson: The 2025 season will be a big one for the Tigers, and Dabo's staff will look different.

New York Jets: In addition to interviews with Mike Vrabel, Ron Rivera, and an upcoming one with Rex Ryan on Tuesday, Josina Anderson adds that the Jets have had internal discussions about interviewing Steelers offensive coordinator Arthur Smith and Commanders offensive coordinator Kliff Kingsbury for their head coaching opening.

UCF: The program is expected to add Utah State running backs coach Jimmy Beal in the same capacity, per CBS Sports.

Florida State: Samford (FCS - AL) quarterbacks coach Brendan Bognar has joined the Florida State staff as an offensive analyst.

New Mexico: Jason Eck is bringing a Sun Belt coordinator to Albuquerque, sources tell FootballScoop.

Eastern Michigan: Eastern Michigan has an immediate opening for a Creative Coordinator within it’s Football Program. This is a full-time position that is paid hourly and includes benefits.
