Detroit Lions: Shaun Dion Hamilton, who spent the past two seasons as assistant linebackers coach, is set to become the new linebackers coach, per CBS Sports.
Samford (FCS - AL): Chris Hatcher is making two new hires sources tell FootballScoop, adding a safeties coach and a special teams coordinator.
New Orleans Saints: The team has completed their in-person interview with Giants offensive coordinator Mike Kafka for their head coaching job.
Tampa Bay Bucs: The team conducted a virtual interview with Chargers pass game coordinator Marcus Brady for their offensive coordinator job, Adam Schefter shares.
New York Jets: Broncos assistant GM Darren Mougey is being hired as the new GM, per multiple reports. He joins Aaron Glenn as the new head coach-GM combo in The Big Apple.
Texas A&M: John Perry, who has served as an assistant receivers coach at Rutgers the past two seasons, is set to join the offensive staff with the Aggies, per ESPN. Perry previously worked with the Houston Texans, where he mentored the tight ends and receivers.
Detroit Lions: Dan Campbell is promoting linebackers coach Kelvin Sheppard to defensive coordinator, Ian Rapoport shares.
Louisiana Tech: Josh Creech (LBs) and Carlton Buckels (CBs / defensive pass game coordinator) have both been announced as the latest additions to Sonny Cumbie's staff. Buckels spent the past two seasons coaching the corners at TCU, while Creech was the defensive coordinator at Midway HS (Waco, TX) and spent six seasons as a defensive analyst at TCU and SMU previously.
Chicago Bears: Brad Briggs and the Chicago Tribune report that Ben Johnson has requested permission to interview David Shaw for their offensive coordinator post, and Jonathan Cones adds that Cardinals quarterbacks coach Israel Woolfork is also among the candidates Johnson would like to speak with about the position as well. Those two join 28-year old Broncos tight ends coach Declan Doyle among the candidates being considered.
Dallas Cowboys: Chris Banjo, the assistant special teams coordinator for the Broncos, is interviewing for the special teams coordinator spot today, per Mike Garafolo.
Morehouse (D-II - GA): Former Morehouse head coach Rick Freeman is the new head coach at Cedar Grove HS (GA). He takes over a program that won a state title in 2023 before dropping to 3-7 last fall.
New Orleans: Giants OC Mike Kafka is interviewing with the Saints today.
University of South Dakota (FCS): University of Minnesota assistant receivers coach Isaiah Walker is joining the USD staff as receivers coach.
Chicago: The Bears have interviewed Titans quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree for their offensive coordinator position per the NFL Network.
Dallas: The Cowboys will not renew the contract of quarterbacks coach Scott Tolzien the NFL Network has reported.
Tarleton State (FCS - TX): Former Houston Christian offensive line coach Beau Blair has accepted the tight ends position at Tarleton source tells FootballScoop.
Drake (FCS - IA): Drake University is seeking a running backs coach. The position responsibilities include coaching your own position group, film breakdown, practice prep, recruiting, and duties as assigned. This hire will include a monthly stipend for the duration of 10-months. Looking to review candidates and hire as soon as possible. North Carolina: Lance Thompson, Maryland's inside linebackers coach and a former assistant at Alabama, Auburn, South Carolina and Tennessee, is being targeted for a role on staff, per CBS Sports.
Chicago Bears: Titans quarterbacks coach Bo Hardegree has interviewed for the offensive coordinator job, per Ian Rapoport.
Florida: The Gators are targeting Jacksonville State defensive coordinator Vinnie Sunseri for a senior role on Billy Napier's staff sources tell FootballScoop. Sources tell FootballScoop this deal likely will be in place today.
Tampa Bay Bucs: The team has requested an offensive coordinator interview with Rams offensive assistant / pass game specialist Nate Scheelhaase, per Jeremy Fowler. Before joining Sean McVay's staff, Scheelhaase was the offensive coordinator at Iowa State.
Dallas Cowboys: Jerry Jones is hiring Brian Schottenheimer as the new head coach of the 'Boys.
USC: Sources tell FootballScoop USC is targeting Notre Dame's Chad Bowden for their general manager role. Update> The Trojans got their man. Our John Brice reports the deal is complete and the dollars involved are notable.
Northern Illinois: After the upset of the year in college football, Thomas Hammock has reportedly drawn interest from three NFL teams.
