South Carolina: The University of South Carolina Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns for the Spring Semester. We are looking to start the position January 2025; the internship will conclude at the end of the semester with the opportunity to stay on. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for Football, set up and break down of daily training, routine maintenance/cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion, or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. New Hampshire (FCS): The University of New Hampshire Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applicants for the Spring of 2025. Interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on coaching experience in a Division I setting working with all teams including but not limited to Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, and Men’s and Women’s Hockey. Interns will assist with daily logistical tasks in the varsity weight room. Interns will participate in and complete the internship curriculum given by the Internship Coordinator and other strength coaches on staff. Candidates that EXCEL within the internship program will also have the opportunity earn the accredited internship hours needed for the SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Duties Include: Set up and breakdown of the weight room, equipment maintenance, stocking nutrition station, assisting in all S&C related activities with staff members. This internship will begin January 21st, 2025, and will conclude May 13th, 2025, with the opportunity to stay on for the Fall of 2025. The internship is designed for individuals who want to become collegiate strength coaches. This is an unpaid volunteer position, housing, meals, and stipend will NOT be provided.  Qualifications: current CPR / AED certification; completion or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field. Preferred qualifications: working towards certifications from CSCCa, NSCA, USAW, previous coaching experience, or experience in collegiate sports. Lindenwood University (St. Charles, MO): The Lindenwood University Athletic Performance Department is currently seeking applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for Spring 2025 semester. Candidates will have the opportunity to work with a variety of the 20+ teams that train out of the Lindenwood Athletic Performance Facility with the start date being Jan 13th, 2025 and wrapping up on May 2nd, 2025. Applicants will be expected to fulfill on average 15 hours minimum per week. These positions are UNPAID but offer the opportunity to gain on-the-floor coaching experience, a 12-week curriculum course, and the ability to fulfill course credit. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of training for the various Lindenwood team/programs, set-up and breakdown of sessions, daily cleaning/organization of the facility, as well as participation in the internship curriculum. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Working towards or recently attained Bachelor's, reliable and consistent personal conduct, strong work ethic and a passion to listen, learn, and apply knowledge. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: First Aid/CPR and AED certified, working towards or recently attained CSCS/SCCC/USAW, and previous player or coaching experience at the collegiate level. These positions offer the opportunity to gain hands-on coaching experience and are designed to provide you with the tools, knowledge, and experience to further your coaching career.
