Georgia Tech: Lew Caralla, who won our FootballScoop Strength and Conditioning Coach of the Year Award while at Buffalo, is not being retained by Brent Key.

BYU: Brigham Young University is currently accepting applications for Three Internship positions during Spring 2023. Qualified candidates would work directly with a Power 5 (Big Twelve) Football Team. This is an unpaid position that is responsible for assisting the BYU Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of the Winter/Spring program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands on experience training Division 1 collegiate athletes. Nike gear will be provided. Daily meal will be provided. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and a strong work ethic. Participation in Collegiate Athletics is preferred. Other preferred qualifications include certification from an accredited organization (CSCS/SCCC), previous coaching experience, and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. There is no monetary compensation so if this position is not an economically feasible option for you, please do not apply. Kentucky: The University of Kentucky Football Performance department is accepting applications for UNPAID/VOLUNTEER Strength and Conditioning interns (4) for the Winter/Spring (January 6th , 2022 start date). Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength and speed training programs specific to power/speed athletes, proper movement preparation, execution of proper motivational techniques, and most importantly developing an understanding of the health, safety, and wellness of collegiate athletes. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, enthusiastic, possess excellent communication skills, and have an extremely strong work ethic. Minimum qualifications: Currently pursuing Bachelors/Masters degree, certified in CPR/AED/First Aid, ability to adapt to a demanding schedule and work in a fast-paced environment, a strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach; CSCS or SCCC, and experience with intercollegiate athletics preferred. This position will provide interns with valuable practical experience, networking and professional development opportunities, and college credit, if applicable.
