Tusculum University: Tusculum University is looking for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach. The position offers housing, meals, and tuition. You would be expected to train 4-5 teams. Allen University: Allen University Strength & Conditioning Department Strength & Conditioning (Columbia, SC) is currently seeking 3-5 volunteers for an UNPAID internship to contribute to the program for the 2020 Spring semester. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers valuable knowledge and hands-on experience assisting the coaching staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program. Interns will receive hands-on experience wand have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic, character, and creative, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Candidates must have a great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession. Previous experience in a strength & conditioning program, coaching experience or collegiate athletics experience are preferred but not required. Salisbury University: The Salisbury University Sports Performance & Recreation Management Programs are currently accepting applications for 3 Graduate Assistant positions beginning in the Fall of 2021. The graduate assistant positions will begin August 5th and continue through May 27th 2022 with the option for yearly renewal until graduation. This position includes tuition remission along with a $4000 stipend per semester (Books and Fees not included). JOB DESCRIPTION: Candidates will have the opportunity to coach, develop, and train elite collegiate athletes through creating and implementing both weight training and running/conditioning programs. Candidates will also gain valuable experience managing interns and volunteers along with implementing the Sports Performance strategic plan. Duties will also include Recreational Facility Management and strategic plan implementation located at the Maggs P.A.C. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants should possess a strong work ethic with a desire to become the best possible performance coach and manager they can become. Passion and enthusiasm for training college athletes and manage staff members should be evident. Possess a strong knowledge base on training methods with previous experience in Olympic lifts and facility management. Have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field. Have been admitted into a Graduate Studies Program at Salisbury University. Previous college sports performance coaching and program implementation experience required. Currently certified or in the process of attaining a national certification: NSCA - CSCS, or CSCCa - SCCC.
