Kennesaw State: The Kennesaw State University Football Sports Performance Department is currently accepting applications for VOLUNTEER coaches for the Spring 2025 Semester. The internship is scheduled to begin as soon as possible and will run through Friday, May 2nd, 2025. This is an unpaid position. However, this position DOES come with the opportunity to turn into a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach position beginning in Fall of 2025. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assisting with the daily implementation of off-season training for KSU Football, set-up and breakdown of daily training sessions, routine maintenance, cleaning and organization of the training facility, as well as participation in a vigorous internship curriculum. This position also offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge in performance technology and data collection through the use of GPS tracking and VBT training as well. Prerequisites include, CPR/AED Certification, as well as completion of, or working towards, a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. The goal of this internship is to prepare and help place individuals into paid roles in the field of strength and conditioning. New Mexico Military Institute: New Mexico Military Institute is seeking to hire one full-time assistant strength and conditioning coach. Salary is $46,000 - $48,000. Under the direction of the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach and Athletic Director, the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the direct development and implementation of performance training programs of college sport teams as assigned. The assistant strength coach will assist the head strength coach in the development and execution of the Corps Physical Fitness training program to elevate the readiness of the Corps of Cadets to pass the Army Physical Fitness Test. The assistant strength coach will oversee daily operations of the Godfrey Athletic Center (GAC), NMMI’s student fitness center, under the guidance of the head strength coach. UTEP: The University of Texas at El Paso is looking to quickly hire one potentially two graduate assistants’ strength and conditioning coaches to start immediately in the spring semester of 2025. The graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach will assist with Football and Olympic sports as assigned. They may also be placed in charge of 1-2 teams of their own. This position holds the responsibility of ensuring compliance with the NCAA regulations, and UTEP policies and procedures. Required: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in sports or health sciences discipline, such as Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or another related field. Also Required: CPR, AED and First Aid certification, Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (SCCC) or National Strength and Conditioning Association (CSCS) certification, and six months minimum experience in strength and conditioning. This position includes a full tuition waiver, books, and stipend, and is limited to 2 years in duration. To be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at The University of Texas at El Paso. A background check is also required by the university.
