College of Holy Cross (MA): College of the Holy Cross (Worcester, MA) is accepting applications for their Summer 2024 Strength and Conditioning Internship. We are looking to fill 6-8 positions from June-August 2024. This is a volunteer, UNPAID, position that offers Division I experience with 27 varsity sports. You will gain valuable program writing and hands on coaching experience, along with education and application of a wide variety of technology (Velocity Based Training, player load management, body composition, jump mats, etc). This internship is also CSCCa mentorship approved. There is also potential for future recommendations or opportunities in the field of strength and conditioning. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the strength and conditioning staff in the training of the Holy Cross athletic programs, assist with daily administrative and maintenance duties, assist in the set-up and break-down of equipment for every workout, various fuel/nutrition station duties, and participation in weekly program writing assignments. Minimum Qualifications: Must have a strong work-ethic, enthusiasm, and a desire to develop the characteristics necessary to become a successful strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelorβs degree/pursuing a degree in exercise science or a related field and pursuing one of the following certifications: SCCC; CSCS or USAW and a CPR/AEDβFirst Aid certification. College of DuPage (JC - IL): The College of DuPage Athletic & Recreation Department is currently looking for a full time Chaparral Fitness Center Supervisor and Athletic Trainer. This position would work with a variety of the 21 athletic teams and the student-athletes as part of the athletic departments strength and conditioning program. The premier NJCAA two year institution in the Midwest 40 miles outside of downtown Chicago in the suburbs of Glen Ellyn, Illinois. The College of DuPage athletic department has won 10 National Championships in the past four years, and was recognized as the NACDA Learfield Directors Cup as the most outstanding junior college athletic department in the country.
