Fairleigh Dickinson University (D-III – NJ): Fairleigh Dickinson University (FDU-Florham) has an opening for Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. This is a 12 month, full-time position. Salary is commensurate with experience. Under the direction of the Associate Director of Athletics for Facilities and Operations, the incumbent develops and implements an approved program for strength and conditioning applicable to the intercollegiate athletic programs as well as the general population at the Florham Campus. Responsibilities include training, scheduling and supervising student-athlete strength and conditioning, supervising fitness center staff to include desk personnel and fitness center attendants, oversight maintenance of all equipment and developing and monitoring personal training programs for specific membership populations. Assures appropriate maintenance of equipment and supplies assigned to the strength and conditioning area; maintains records on examination and physical conditioning of student-athletes; works with coaches to develop specific plans for each athletic team within the department of athletics. Required Qualifications include: Baccalaureate degree with relevant courses in anatomy, physical education, health or related topics; Certification through National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS); Minimum of two (2) years experience supervising fitness and weight training programs; Strong communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills; Must have First Aid and CPR – professional rescuer certification prior to the first day of employment. Northwestern Oklahoma State: Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for 1-2 Voluntary Strength and Conditioning assistant Coaches for Fall 2020. The start date is flexible. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, and attending to the daily maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities. Candidates will have the opportunity to program, implement, and supervise strength and conditioning sessions. Volunteer Coaches will go through an educational curriculum and CSCS Prep (if applicable). No monetary compensation will be provided. Certifications from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. CPR/AED certification is required. Position will start at candidate’s earliest convenience. New Haven: The University of New Haven Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking qualified applicants for a Graduate Assistant position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams; demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; supervise team workouts, individual workouts, and open hours; assist with maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Qualifications: (Required)-Bachelor's degree (Preferred)-CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification or working towards; previous strength and conditioning experience in a collage setting; experience in designing and implementing workout programs.
