Lee University (Cleveland, TN): Lee University Sports Performance is seeking 1-2 Assistant Coach(es) for 23-24 school year (part-time). Certified coaches will take 3-4 teams and can assist others. The position is eligible for the CSCCa practicum. Last year, Lee Flames became the first school to sweep the GSC Overall, Men’s, and Women’s All Sports trophies three years in a row, and finished top-25 in Director’s Cup standings for the third consecutive year. Coaches are very supportive & we have full autonomy. You’ll have free time for personal life, lots of outdoor recreation options, 30min from Chattanooga. New Hampshire: The University of New Hampshire Strength and Conditioning is now accepting volunteer internship applicants for the spring of 2024. Interns will have the opportunity to gain hands-on coaching experience in a Division I setting working with all teams including but not limited to Football, Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Men’s and Women’s Ice Hockey, and other Olympic sports. Interns will assist with daily logistical tasks in the varsity weight room. Interns will participate in and complete the internship curriculum given by the Internship Director and other strength coaches on staff. Candidates that EXCEL within the internship program will also have the opportunity earn the accredited internship hours needed for the SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Duties Include: Set up and breakdown of the weight room, equipment maintenance, stocking nutrition station, assisting in all S&C related activities with staff members. This internship will begin January 8th and will conclude May 17th , 2024 with the opportunity to stay on for the summer of 2024. The internship is designed for individuals who want to become collegiate strength coaches. This is an unpaid volunteer position, housing, meals, and stipend will NOT be provided. Qualifications: current CPR / AED certification; completion or currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in exercise science or related field. Preferred qualifications: working towards certifications from CSCCa, NSCA, USAW, previous coaching experience, or experience in collegiate sports.
