South Dakota State University: SDSU Football Strength and Conditioning is looking for qualified, volunteer interns for the 2024 Spring semester. Responsibilities include: Working directly with South Dakota State University FOOTBALL. Helping supervise and instruct SDSU football athletes in strength, speed, agility, plyometric and conditioning workouts. Specific objectives will include: learning all varieties of exercises, i.e. weight room and field work based training, learn how to design a periodized training program, learn how to adapt and modify workouts for injured athletes, and lead a weekly discussion of relevant strength and conditioning topics. The person will also assist in day-to-day operations of the strength staff, including: weight room set-up and tear down, maintenance of the equipment, cleaning and data entry. Candidate must be in pursuit, or already obtained, an accredited certification to become a Strength and Conditioning Coach at the NCAA level. (CSCS or SCCC) Candidates will have the opportunity to earn accredited hours under a Master Strength Coach needed for the SCCC certification through the CSCCa. Must be in pursuit of, or already obtained, a degree in a related field of Strength and Conditioning. Findlay (D-II - OH): Findlay is looking to hire an assistant strength and conditioning coach. This is a non-benefited, $12,000 stipend, supplemental coach position. Candidate may be required to work on Saturday – Sunday.  This position is responsible for servicing as an Assistant Coach of the Strength & Conditioning program. Kansas: University of Kansas Football Sports Performance is currently seeking volunteers for an UNPAID internship to contribute to the program for WINTER 2024. Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions for football in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an unpaid opportunity that offers invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience assisting the full-time coaching staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic and character, great energy and enthusiasm, as well as the ability to demonstrate effective organization and communication skills. Potential candidates must have a great desire to learn about the strength and conditioning profession as well as pursue a career in the collegiate setting. Previous experience in a strength and conditioning program, coaching internship experience, or collegiate athletics experience is preferred but not required. This internship is expected to begin January 2024 and end at the conclusion of the 2024 spring semester.
