New York Giants: Frank Pirano has now been announced as the team's new director of strength and conditioning and Drew Wilson has moved from assistant strength and conditioning coach to the assistant director role.
Cleveland Browns: The Cleveland Browns Strength and Conditioning Internship Program is currently accepting applications. The internship will begin April 1, 2024 through the end of the 2024 season. These internships are paid. Prerequisites: The candidate must have completed a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and be CPR and First Aid certified. Certifications through CSCCa and/or NSCA preferred. Each candidate will go through an interview process and are required to submit to a background check. Those accepted will assist in the day-to-day operations of the facility, including cleaning and maintenance duties, set-up and break-down of equipment for all workouts, data collection, and assist with other departments that aid our players. The intern program consists of mock interviews, presentations to the staff, weekly topics, and evaluations. Candidates should possess a strong work ethic, respectable character, 100% commitment to the program and a desire to pursue a career in the strength and conditioning field. Indiana University of Pennsylvania: Indiana University of PA is currently looking for Work-Study Strength and Conditioning Coaches for the Fall ’24 and Spring ‘25 academic year. Work-Study Coaches can receive a stipend & will have their CSCS or SCCC covered. The daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Assist in all aspects of the strength and conditioning department, nan lead 2-4 Teams including assisting with football, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities, data input and upkeep, weekly professional development & any other tasks assignment by the Head Coach. Minimum Qualifications: Attained a bachelor’s degree, strong work ethic, punctuality, enthusiasm, and effective communication skills & a desire to become a strength and conditioning coach. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications- CSCS, USAW, etc., previous coaching experience in a collegiate, professional, high school or private sector setting and/or Competitive collegiate athletic involvement. Individuals chosen for the position are subject to university background checks. Southeast Missouri State (FCS): SEMO is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Graduate Assistant Sport Performance Coach. Candidates must have a great work ethic, strong communication skills, and be passionate about continually progressing as a strength and conditioning professional. The position requires certification in First Aid and CPR, and progress towards CSCS and or SCCC. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting the Director & Assistant Director in the design and implementation of training programs; meeting with sport coaches and athletic trainers to collaborate on program design and modifications; weight room supervision; daily upkeep and maintenance of equipment; and other duties as assigned. The Graduate Assistant position is a two-year assignment beginning JUNE of the 2024-2025 academic year and includes a tuition waiver for graduate credit hours and a monthly stipend.
