South Dakota State (FCS): South Dakota State is accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant position in Strength and Conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in design and implementation of Strength & Conditioning programs for assigned sports. Provide proper instruction for safe and effective lifting techniques and equipment usage. Supervising weight room day-to-day activities and conduct periodic performance & strength testing. Qualifications: Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with an emphasis in sports sciences, CPR certification and certified or working to be certified through the National Strength and Conditioning Association(NSCA) or Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCC). In order to be awarded the position the candidate must be admitted to graduate school at South Dakota State University. Compensation includes full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Previous strength coaching experience preferred. Previous athletic experience preferred. Olympic Lifting experience preferred. Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Access strongly recommended. Consideration will be given to individuals who possess strong interpersonal, leadership and communication skills with integrity.
