Texas A&M Commerce: Texas A&M University-Commerce invites applications for the position of Sports Performance Graduate Assistant Coach. TAMU-Commerce has over 400 student/athletes in various highly competitive programs. Candidates must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship. The program is designed to provide each participant with a holistic and valuable practical experience in the field of Strength and Conditioning. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Assist the Senior Director of Sports Performance / Director of Sports Performance with all assigned tasks; Attend weekly training seminars on teaching correct techniques for appropriate workout regimens; Teach athletes proper technique and perform diagnostic biomechanical analysis of anathlete’s movement; Program design & responsibility for 1-3 assigned sports teams; Maintain a neat and clean facility for use by varsity student athletes; Assist in supervision and safety – including but not limited to spotting of heavy lifts; Assist with the input of test data, research, and testing, and discussion of professionalism, & budgets; Effectively and properly motivate athletes to achieve maximum potential in all areas of performance; Make sure all weights are in proper place throughout the day; Help monitor the training of injured athletes perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Director of Sports Performance or Director of Sports Performance; Assist with F.A.S.T.E.R. fueling station. Minimum Qualifications: Potential candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in strength and conditioning. Candidate must be accepted into a Graduate program at the university and maintain satisfactory progress towards degree completion to maintain the position; Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college; 1-2 years of coaching experience in the weight room, or any equivalent combination of
education and experience. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Strength & Conditioning or related field from an accredited university or college and 2-4 years of Coaching experience in the weight room, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. Southern Illinois: SIUE Athletic Performance (located outside St. Louis) is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for an Athletic Performance internship opportunity for the FALL 2020 semester, start date is August 17th . Texas A&M-Commerce: The Department of Sports Performance at Texas A&M University – Commerce (Division II) has vacancies for 2 Volunteer Sports Performance Interns for Olympic Sports and Football. These are unpaid positions. Potential interns will gain exposure and experience with all aspects of training by working directly with the Senior Director of Sports Performance & the Director of Sports Performance. Interns will have the opportunity to learn and coach athletes with the guidance needed to be successful in the field of strength and conditioning. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor’s degree (Exercise Sciences or related fields). Candidates must also have extensive knowledge and coaching experience with Olympic-style lifting exercises. Current CPR & AED certification. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS - current CSCCa or NSCA Coaching Certifications or the active pursuit of the CSCCa or NSCA Coaching Certifications. Rocky Mountain College (NAIA - Billings, MT):Rocky Mountain College is currently seeking to hire an assistant/graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach to start August 3, 2020. This position is under the general direction of RMC’s Director of Strength and Conditioning and is primarily responsible for assisting in all aspects of strength and conditioning for football. Specific duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. A Stipend of $600 a month and some meals will be provided. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree, desire to pursue certification through CSCCa and/or NSCA, current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, previous coaching experience, familiarity with Microsoft Office programs, strong work ethic, organizational skills, and enthusiasm. Purdue: Purdue University Football Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Volunteer Interns for the fall of 2020. This internship will begin in August and will conclude in December of 2020. These are unpaid positions, and CLASS CREDIT IS REQUIRED FOR THIS INTERNSHIP. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to; assisting with the supervision and execution of the strength and conditioning program for Purdue University Football. Interns will gain hands on experience in a Division 1 setting, assist with set up and break down for daily training, routine maintenance and cleaning of the training facilities, and completion of the internship curriculum. Required qualifications include a strong work ethic, completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate or graduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, and a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional in the collegiate or professional setting. All applicants should be working towards their certifications from the governing body of the NSCA or CSCCa. Other preferred qualifications include previous coaching in a collegiate setting and personal involvement in a collegiate competitive sport. Applications will be taken until the positions are filled. Syracuse: Syracuse University Department of Athletic Performance for Football is accepting applications for a VOLUNTEER Intern Strength and Conditioning coach position for 2020 Fall camp (Aug. 2) and the Fall semester. This is an UNPAID volunteer position, but academic credits can be applied towards an Exercise Science or related degree program if applicable. The main responsibilities of this position will include: involvement in the supervision of safety during training sessions, assisting with daily administrative, maintenance items, and operations for Football. This position will provide: valuable practical experience working with Division 1 collegiate football student-athletes and coaches, an extensive professional development program, CSCS / SCCC prep, and multiple opportunities to expand network connections within the profession. Qualifications: Seeking a college degree or completion of a Bachelor’s Degree and current CPR certification. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in an exercise related field and CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification. Evidence of project completion, consistent attention to detail, and efficiency in a fast-paced environment will be highly considered. All employees must comply fully with all NCAA, ACC (or other conference) and Syracuse University rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Youngstown State: The Youngstown State University Football and Olympic Strength and Conditioning Staff is currently seeking 2-3 highly motivated intern candidates for the Fall of 2020. This position would have a tentative start date of Aug. 12th The successful candidates will be both hard working and posses a willingness to learn. While this position is UNPAID, the candidate will be compensated through hands on experience at the Division I level with both Football and Olympic sports. Interns will have the ability to apply internship hours towards undergraduate and graduate programs. The candidates will also have an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and have the ability to COACH on the floor. Candidates will also have an opportunity to earn professional recommendations for future ventures. Candidates will have time for work opportunities outside of the internship if need be. Requirements: candidate must be CPR/AED certified; completed or currently enrolled in a degree program in exercise science or a related field; and currently holding or working towards a professional certification such as the NSCA CSCS; or CSCCa.
