Iowa: The University of Iowa Football Strength and Conditioning is accepting internship applicants for Winter 2024. This internship is designed for individuals who want to become collegiate strength coaches. This is an unpaid volunteer position. Duties include: Set up and breakdown of the weight room, equipment maintenance and general support of the daily operations of the program, stocking supplements and maintenance of our refueling station. Interns will have the opportunity to be involved with our functional movement screen, on-field and weight room testing as well as data analysis. Participation in an internship curriculum is also required. Qualifications: Applicants must be pursing or have completed Bachelors in Exercise Science or a related field. Central Connecticut State: Central Connecticut State University is seeking applicants for the position of Sports Performance Intern for the Spring 2024 semester. Responsibilities: Successful candidates will assist in organizing and implementing movement assessments, dynamic warm-ups, speed and agility training, exercise technique progressions, strength training, and performance testing for all student athletes. Interns will also be responsible for weekly assignments and readings, collecting and interpreting testing data, the daily maintenance of equipment and facilities, and the development of instructional videos. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required or working towards the completion of; First Aid and CPR certified, CSCS certified or working towards CSCS or other certification, and Division 1 coaching experience. Applications will be accepted until the positions are filled. Compensation: Successful candidates will receive valuable hands-on experience coaching college athletics. Limestone (D-II - SC): Limestone is looking to hire a football only head strength and conditioning coach. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in exercise science, sports administration or other sports/exercise-related field. A nationally accredited certification in strength and conditioning by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA); Specifically, either the NSCA CSCS and/or the CSCCA SCCC. Also, looking for one who has experience running a football strength and conditioning program at the collegiate level. Position will start January 1st.
