Louisiana: The University of Louisiana Athletic Performance for Football is accepting internship applicants for Spring 2024. This internship is designed for individuals who want to have a career in the field of athletic performance. This is an UNPAID position. Interns will be provided with opportunities to grow and have hands-on coaching experience in a FBS football program. Responsibilities include assisting in all aspects of training, gaining experience with Kinexon and Force Plates, as well as participation in an internship curriculum. Qualifications: Applicants must be pursing or have completed Bachelors in Exercise Science or a related field. Applicants should be working toward CSCS / SCCC certification as well. San Diego State: The San Diego State University Strength and Conditioning Staff are looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the 2024 Spring Semester, with the ability to extend. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision of training, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance tasks as well as any other duties as assigned by the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation, if applicable, and will be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology, kinesiology, or related field; pursuing and/or obtained NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR-AED certification is required. Aurora (D-III - IL): Aurora University invites applications for a graduate assistant in Strength and Conditioning. This is a 10-month position starting in August 2024 with a two-year commitment. Full tuition waver, a monthly stipend, apparel, and attendance to various professional conferences/clinics are included. Responsibilities include coordination of assigned teams’ training schedules; supervision of lifts, conditioning sessions, and other training events; establishment and maintenance of proper communication with sport coaches, athletic trainers, athletics staff, and the strength & conditioning staff; designing training programs and making necessary modifications when needed; teaching and executing proper technique of lifts and drills; implantation of technology such as force plates, velocity based training, and BodPod for training and tracking; exercise science lab supervision and management; assisting university faculty and staff in research investigations; assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of training facilities; adherence to all Aurora University, NCAA, and Conference rules/regulations; assisting strength & conditioning coaches in testing and monitoring athletes as needed; and performance of any other duties as may be assigned. Texas Southern: The Texas Southern University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for ONE (1) Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to potentially begin during the spring semester of 2024. Priority consideration will be given to candidates who possess or are working towards certification through the NSCA, CSCCa or USAW and are CPR / First Aid / AED Certified.
